  • AP is supporting the repair of this disused building at Ngambenyi Primary to create a classroom space for a new grade 9. The school currently only has eight classrooms and, unlike most other AP partner schools, was not given funding by the government to put up a classroom for grade 9 pupils which will be needed from January. The school has no other suitable spare space but thankfully this building (which was formerly the pre-school before the AP & Hazel's Footprints Trust-supported rebuild of the entire school) has never been demolished!! AP is donating all the materials and funds needed to make the space safe and conducive for learning. It will be given a new roof, floor and windows/door, then plastered and painted inside and out.

  • Our Carol Service is back this year but we need a new headline sponsor! By sponsoring our Carols your business would: - help to raise the profile of the event so we can raise even more funds for our partner schools in Kenya - be associated with an event that has been listed by Tatler as one of the best of its kind and which features stars of stage and screen and some of the country's best young music talent - be associated with a respected small charity that is trusted by its partners and has a reputation for delivering on its promises. If you would like to find out more about this very affordable opportunity please comment below or email charles.coldman@africanpromise.org.uk

  • *** African Promise supports primary schools in the Kasigau region of Kenya only. *** We *do not* partner with schools outside this area - whether public or private - nor do we partner with or provide financial support to organisations working elsewhere, whether based in Kenya or not. Despite being an organisation that, despite our name, very clearly works in Kenya and with primary schools only (it says as much in our logo), we receive almost daily requests for support from organisations working across Africa and often that are not even schools or education based. These waste the time of the institution/organisation contacting us and, more importantly, ours in responding, often to the same organisation on multiple occasions.

  • Our Farm2Fork initiative is already bearing fruit (pun intended!) and giving children yet another reason to love coming to an AP partner school. But there is so much more that can be done. With your support, our partner schools can create new kitchen garden spaces and further improve, develop and ultimately even expand existing areas; your donation could be used for erecting fencing or building planting beds and structures, for gardening tools and equipment, for irrigation systems, and for seeds and seedlings. Please help our partner schools plant a seed today to give their pupils a happier and healthier tomorrow. Donate at https://lnkd.in/e2DVB24C
