On the 11th Day of Christmas... 🎷🎷🎷🎷🎷🎷🎷🎷🎷🎷🎷 ...we celebrate another win at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, this time where digital questionnaires for spinal injection patients are enabling them to receive care faster. Patients post spinal injection were waiting a long time for their 8-week face-to-face follow-up appointment due to the backlog. To tackle this, UHL decided to implement digital patient questionnaires, which enable care teams to understand how patients are doing post injection and triage them to the right place. Those who are stable are put onto PIFU, freeing up appointments for those who genuinely need them. Results so far: 📱 90 patients contacted 📆 47 unnecessary appointments avoided #AccurxWrapped

On the 7th Day of Christmas...🦢🦢🦢🦢🦢🦢🦢 ...University Hospitals of Leicester have seen great results using a digital patient-initiated contact form for managing patients with inflammatory bowel disease. To improve patient care and create capacity, UHL transitioned from a model where patients phoned the service when they needed help, to one where they got in touch via an online form. This means staff can now triage administrative and medical queries, resolving many without the need for an appointment. This has created extra capacity to manage more patient flare-ups. Key results: 📞 838 phone calls saved 🚑 180 A&E admissions avoided monthly 📈 50% increase in patient interactions managed monthly 📆 84% of patient requests are resolved that same day (up from 40%) #AccurxWrapped
