Last week was a powerful week—my journey with politics has been exciting. What would I do to sit down in that same politics classroom today?
My days of studying politics at A-levels is were I learned a lot but also lost hope. My passion died due to the current state of politics in 2016, anyone remember Brexit? 🤦🏽♂️
What brought me back was the random encounter at my university, hearing Mete at student led conference, which led to finding out about the work and the remarkable team at MLMS.
Today: A staggering 4.3 million young people are not registered to vote.
Recognising this gap, MLMS Shape History, and #iwill joined forces to produce the most significant and impactful campaign.
On National Voter Registration Day (NVRD), we mobilised an incredible 113,000 young people in just one day.
I'm honored to have been a part of the youth steering committee, working alongside many changemakers to shape this initiative every step of the way.
NVRD was indeed a day to remember, not just for the numbers but for the spirited collaboration it represented. What a war room it was.
75 different media coverage, 150,000 people overall registered and apx 2 million impressions.‼️‼️‼️
To end the week on a high, I was on a panel where I had the privilege of discussing democracy and the issues closest to my heart on a panel with Dan Lawes Jack M. Zoë Jessica Dawson Kwajo Tweneboa
But the Job isn't finished—Give An X continues. If you want to join the movement, contact Dan Lawes, the man himself.
