We built the app, and it failed ☠️ But honesty won A few years ago, a client came to me with an ambitious idea—an app to help friends with small tasks, like running a house while away. The concept was interesting but too complex and lacked a clear plan for success after launch. I laid out all the risks:   🚨 No clear monetization   🚨 No solid user acquisition strategy   🚨 No market need  Despite the warnings, we moved forward. The app was great but failed. If there’s no demand, no amount of innovation can save it. This was our case. Still, the client went in with full awareness. We still talk today about future projects because she knows I’ll always be transparent. This is a story about how to tell the hard truth and keep your client.

  • Innovation or invasion of privacy? Two Harvard students just showcased a chilling demo of how smart glasses, paired with facial recognition and AI, can turn a casual stroll into a data-mining session. Their project, I-XRAY, uses Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and widely available tech to pull up names, addresses, and phone numbers of strangers in real-time. Yes, it’s that easy. This isn’t some sci-fi fantasy—it’s happening NOW with off-the-shelf technology. In the demo, they used the glasses to identify classmates and even struck up conversations with strangers using the information collected. All this is done using existing tools like Pimeyes and public databases. It's not about what could happen—this is already a reality. The students say they built this project to raise awareness about privacy, not to misuse the technology. But it raises a serious question for businesses and consumers. Meta, the manufacturer of the Ray-Ban smart glasses, advises users to avoid being “glassholes” in its privacy policy. They urge users to “respect people’s preferences” and to clearly gesture or use voice controls when capturing video, live streaming, or taking photos. We know that people don’t always follow wearable etiquette, and this opens the door to misuse. At A-development, we work with businesses to ensure their technologies respect user privacy and comply with regulatory standards. Want to learn more about how we help businesses innovate responsibly? How our team saved $400,000/Year for a client Turning ideas into functional software is one thing. Delivering tangible business results is another. Here’s how we did both for a German financial and asset management company: The company’s team spent too many hours manually calculating indicators for their clients, limiting their ability to grow without hiring more staff. Their goal? Scale the business without significant staff expansion. After detailed discussions, we built an automatic data processing system using Microsoft Azure, focusing on: ➡️ Automating repetitive tasks to reduce manual work by streamlining data structuring and processing. ➡️ Building a custom dashboard to provide real-time data visualization for faster decision-making. ➡️ Cloud integration for enhanced accessibility, security, and scalability. With our solution, the company saw: 🔹 2.5x increase in client base (from 6 to 15 clients). 🔹 Each employee now handles 5 clients instead of just 2. 🔹 Annual savings of 360,000 EUR ($400,000) on staff costs. Ready to achieve similar results for your business? Contact us today to see how our development process can transform your company!

  • What it takes to make AI work in 2025 Many companies have been diving into Generative AI, but 2024 has shown that just having the technology isn’t enough. To truly benefit from AI, the groundwork needs to be solid. Why Is AI Adoption Falling Short? While AI teams have been exploring new tech and building proofs of concept, only a few projects have delivered actual business value. The problem? A lack of focus on real-world results and the absence of strong data foundations. Here are 3 foundations for AI success in 2025: 1️⃣ Focus on measurable business value: AI projects need to address core business challenges, not just experiment with technology. 2️⃣ Comprehensive data management: No matter how powerful your AI models are, they’re only as good as the data feeding them. Invest in data organization, storage, and accessibility. 3️⃣ Modernize core IT infrastructure: AI often requires powerful computing resources and robust data pipelines. Transition to cloud solutions to support scalability and performance. As 2025 approaches, AI efforts should pivot from exploration to delivering real business impact. Got some ideas from this post? Let’s turn them into reality! Reach out to us at A-Dev today.

  • When NOT to use AI in cyber security? In 2024, cybercrime costs are expected to reach $10.5 trillion annually, and attacks are becoming more sophisticated. AI’s real power lies in its ability to detect these attacks early. For example, AI-based systems can identify phishing attempts with an accuracy rate of up to 94%, far surpassing traditional detection methods. AI provides several key benefits for cybersecurity. 😎 It reduces costs by automating routine tasks like vulnerability assessments and log analysis. 🥸 It's highly scalable, processing massive amounts of data quickly and accurately.  🙃 AI’s ability to predict and prevent threats gives businesses a proactive defense strategy. AI is a game-changer, but it's not always the right tool. ❌ If your dataset is small or outdated, AI might give inaccurate results. Stick to traditional rule-based systems instead. ❌ Lacking the necessary skills or resources? AI adoption can be error-prone and challenging. ❌ Legacy infrastructure in place? The transition to AI-based cybersecurity can be complex and costly. ❌ Insufficient hardware or cloud resources? AI deployment may not be practical. AI is powerful, but it’s not a one-size-fits-all solution. Need more insights? Visit A-development for the best solutions to keep your business secure!

  • Google vs Government: A moment to move fast The ongoing legal battle between Google and the U.S. Department of Justice is a big deal. It could change how Google and other tech giants do business in the online ad world. It’s part of a larger effort to make the digital economy fairer and more competitive for everyone. The DOJ claims that Google controls the entire process of digital advertising, allowing it to charge high fees and limit competition. This could hurt smaller players in the market. This case comes right after Google lost another trial about its search monopoly. These back-to-back cases could push the U.S. government to introduce stricter rules for big tech companies like Google, Amazon, and Meta. If Google is found guilty, it may be forced to break up parts of its business. This would give other companies a chance to grow and compete, which might lower prices and improve services for advertisers and publishers. This trial could change how we see ads online and how companies fund free content like news websites. If Google’s control weakens, we might see new players in the digital ad space. Do you see new opportunities arising here? What’s your take?

  • Is Apple losing its edge? Apple Intelligence is aiming high, but it’s falling short at launch. Despite all the hype at the iPhone 16 event, the reality is: Apple’s AI won’t be ready when the new devices drop. iOS 18 and the new iPhones arrive in September, but you’ll have to wait until October (at the earliest) to see any real AI upgrades—and even then, they’re only in beta. Here’s what’s delayed: - Features like ‘’text rewrite’’ and ‘’summarize text’’ - The “smarter” Siri - Photos with AI And what about those jaw-dropping features, like Visual Intelligence (search by snapping a photo) or creating your own emojis with Genmoji? They’re even further out—likely not until late next year. Meanwhile, competitors are already offering similar tech. Considering that 48% of companies are actively adopting AI technologies, this integration could drive higher engagement, especially as AI becomes more intuitive in everyday use. In a world where we expect everything instantly, Apple’s AI rollout feels slow. Are you in the AI race? Or do you rather see it as a bubble? What’s your take on the delays? Let’s discuss.
