🌳 Building a Greener Future Together 🌍 We’re proud to share that the 8build team partnered with MSK in the beautiful village of Cobham, Kent, for a volunteer tree planting day. Together, we planted over 550 trees, contributing to local biodiversity and helping to absorb carbon from the atmosphere. Works have officially begun at the iconic Dulwich Picture Gallery! 🎨 This redevelopment, the largest in over 20 years, at the Grade II Listed Dulwich Picture Gallery, originally designed by Sir John Soane in 1817, will transform the site and its surrounding gardens. The project aims to welcome new audiences, offering a fresh and inspiring way to experience both art and architecture in a thoughtfully reimagined setting. The transformation will include a new children’s picture gallery, an innovative, timber-clad pavilion designed to foster creative play within the expansive gardens. Additionally, the Grade II Listed cottage will undergo sensitive restoration to host much-needed facilities, including a café, shop, and space for school groups. With a focus on sustainability, the project will incorporate low-carbon timber construction and a ground source heat pump to significantly reduce the site's environmental impact. Extinguishing the old, sparking the new! 🔥 Plumstead Fire Station is officially revamped and ready to serve – no alarms, just great results! We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the Plumstead Fire Station Redevelopment for the London Fire Brigade 🎉 This transformative project has preserved and enhanced the Grade II Listed fire station, while introducing cutting-edge features to meet modern operational needs: 🏗️ New appliance bay and a state-of-the-art three-storey drill tower 🌍 BREEAM standards for energy efficiency with air source heat pumps & solar panels 🚒 Improved vehicle access to eliminate reversing into busy Plumstead High Street 🏢 New facilities including a kitchen canteen, lecture room, watch room, and community space Despite the challenges of working on a live, 24/7 operational site, our team delivered in four carefully planned phases, ensuring seamless daily operations throughout. #ProjectCompletion #PlumsteadFireStation #LondonFireBrigade #Sustainability #InfinitePossibilities #8build
