Chairman PEC Leads the Way in Addressing Challenges in Construction Industry Islamabad, December 14, 2024 – In a landmark initiative, the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) organized a Construction Projects Stakeholders Consultative Workshop under the visionary leadership of its Chairman, Engr. Waseem Nazir. The workshop, held at the IFQ Hotel, Islamabad, brought together leading experts, stakeholders, and industry professionals to discuss the pressing challenges faced by Pakistan’s construction industry and chart a roadmap for its sustainable growth. As a statutory national regulator, PEC plays a pivotal role in driving the engineering profession toward achieving sustainable economic and social development. Recognizing the central role of the construction industry in national progress, the Chairman underscored the importance of addressing capacity gaps, improving employability, and streamlining regulatory frameworks to unlock the full potential of this vital sector. Engr. Waseem Nazir, who personally spearheaded the workshop, emphasized the need for a collaborative approach to reform policies and strengthen the regulatory ecosystem.
