The Punjab government has unveiled a new initiative to protect schoolchildren from the harsh winter by distributing warm clothing across the province. Starting on January 13, 21,000 students from government schools in Lahore, Narowal, Rajanpur, and Layyah will receive winter apparel such as sweaters, coats, shoes, and uniforms. This initiative, launched under the direction of the Chief Minister, is being carried out with the support of the Department of Bait-ul-Mal and the Social Welfare Department. The selection of schools for this program has already been completed. In addition, the Punjab Education Department has revised the winter vacation schedule, with holidays now lasting until January 10.
