Nobel laureate Simon Johnson says that artificial intelligence can be an equalizing force, but warns that new technology does not automatically benefit everyone. Power could become increasingly concentrated in a scenario where unskilled and midlevel workers are supplanted by technology while elites thrive. Read more on how the rollout of AI finds society at an inflection point. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐈: 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐊𝐞𝐠? INTELLECT-1, the first globally trained 10B-parameter decentralized model. Say that three times fast… This marks a breakthrough in open AI development. Trained across five countries using distributed resources and collaborative frameworks. What this demonstrates is that large-scale AI isn’t confined to corporate labs anymore. Yet, this achievement also raises a significant concern: 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐈. Decentralized frameworks, like the one powering INTELLECT-1, enable models to aggregate data from diverse, open-source environments similar to those torrent systems from the LimeWire and BitTorrent days. In the wrong hands, this infrastructure could be used to train AI agents that scan, simulate, and exploit vulnerabilities globally. Imagine botnets controlled by an AI system with billions of parameters, continuously adapting attack vectors in real time. Combining this with generative adversarial networks (GANs) could create self-improving cyber threats, tested and optimized in simulated environments. The INTELLECT-1 model’s ability to maintain stability and efficiency across dynamic, global nodes is a technical triumph. But it also sets the stage for decentralized systems that could weaponize this same adaptability. We’re not just fostering innovation we’re potentially opening a pathway for autonomous threats. As enterprises move toward autonomous systems, they need to recognize this dual-use risk. The future of AI isn’t just about progress, and innovation, it’s about vigilance. “𝐁𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐲 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐰.” -𝐀𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐩 #genai #mindsetchange #ai #ciso #cio 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲: The views within any of my posts, or newsletters are not those of my employer or the employers of any contributing experts. Uncomfortable Truth for Creators: People don’t care if it's made by AI. Here are 5 ways to start using AI for Linkedin: ☑ Perplexity for ideation. Search the web, but better. ☑ ChatGPT for planning. It's your personal assistant. ☑ Opus Clip for videos. It edits 30+ clips in minutes. ☑ Midjourney for images – not quotes or infographics. ☑ EasyGen for writing + images. The #1 AI for Linkedin. All of them are free to try. All of them require patience & mastery. All of them have tons of free guides on the web. Because no – you won't make it just by using it. Because no – you won't be replaced by a bot using it. The winners are the ones mastering AI, before it masters other's mediocrity.

Stuck in #MVP limbo? Yeah, We’ve been there too—pouring time, energy, and money into something only to realize it’s just not clicking with your users. It’s like showing up to a party with store-brand chips when everyone else brought homemade guac. Awkward. But here’s the thing: startups today have a secret weapon, and no, it’s not more chips. It’s generative AI. This tech is changing the game, letting you tweak your MVP faster than your best friend edits their dating profile—except with actual data to back it up. Take #Toyota, for example. (Yes, the car people.) They’re using generative AI to design vehicles that aren’t just functional but borderline futuristic. And then there’s #MultiversityGroup in Italy—an online education company that leveled up their student and faculty experience with #AI. These aren’t just tech experiments; they’re real-world wins. __________________________________________________________________ Why is this happening? Because generative AI makes life easier. It helps you: 1. Iterate quickly: No more waiting months for feedback loops. AI gets you insights and adjustments faster than your morning coffee run. 2. Save money: Automating parts of the process means fewer late nights for your dev team and fewer “we’re broke” moments for your budget. 3. Build products people actually love: AI analyzes real user behavior so you’re not just guessing what they want. It’s like having a crystal ball, but, you know, less magical and more algorithmic. __________________________________________________________________ Here’s the fun part: We can help you bring this AI magic to your MVP. Think of it as turning your product from “meh” to “wow” in record time. Whether you’re launching your first MVP or trying to fix one that’s stuck, let’s chat. Shoot us a “Hi!” at info@early-stage.co, and we’ll get rolling. Who knows? Your MVP could be the next big success story—and maybe We’ll even bring some homemade guac to celebrate. 🥑 #StartupLife #GenerativeAI #MVPGlowUp #AIWizardry
