NH Collection Colombo recently held its annual overnight Pirith chanting ceremony on August 16, 2024, a moment rich in cultural and spiritual meaning. This sacred event invoked blessings for the owners, senior management, and all staff as the hotel embarked on a new chapter with Minor Hotels brand under Softlogic Group. People and Culture Department thoughtfully organized the ceremony, inviting seven venerable Buddhist monks to perform the overnight chants and rituals. The event concluded with a heartfelt almsgiving ceremony at breakfast, followed by a specially prepared lunch, honoring all who participated with offerings of respect and gratitude. Key representatives from the Softlogic Group, including Roshan Perera - General Manager of NH Collection Colombo, Keith Tomkies - Cluster General Manager of Avani & Anantara Kalutara, and Manthi Jayawickrama - Cluster Training Manager, marked this milestone with their presence. In a beautiful gesture of cultural expression, the hotel also welcomed in-house guests from various nationalities and religions to join the ceremony and invoke blessings.
