Each year we celebrate the passion, progress and contribution of our colleagues who’ve hit significant milestones of tenure at Lane Crawford – and as a brand on the verge of its 175th birthday, longevity is a running theme. This year we celebrated more than 200 team members serving from five years to more than 35 years, and 51 of our colleagues who were part of our Chengdu store opening 10 years ago and still going strong. Celebrating the Resilience of Our Oxfam Trailwalker Teams We are thrilled to celebrate the incredible achievements of our diverse teams at Lane Crawford, who came together from various departments—finance, retail, HR, and more—to tackle this year’s Oxfam Trailwalker event. This gruelling 100 km race in the New Territories was particularly challenging this year due to heavy rain and notoriously slippery “peanut butter” trail, testing both endurance and teamwork. It was truly inspiring to see colleagues across divisions, all united by a shared purpose: to finish as one team! Trailwalker is not just a test of physical endurance; it also embodies the spirit of collaboration that defines Lane Crawford. Some team members even participated for the fourth time, demonstrating their relentless determination and passion for this challenge. Congratulations to all who took part! We are very happy to welcome Karin Ong as Chief Financial Officer and a member of our leadership team at Lane Crawford and Joyce. Karin brings us a wealth of experience in Finance and Operations for international brands built over more than 30 years. Her career highlights include a long and impressive tenure at Burberry culminating in her role as COO Asia Pacific responsible for 10 countries over a period in which Asia Pacific contributed the highest sales growth to the business globally; and her time as CEO of The Body Shop, Hong Kong and Macau in the mid 2000s. As Karin takes up her role heading up finance, supply chain and technology, we extend our greatest appreciation to outgoing CFO Raymond Chan for his invaluable contribution to our company over the past 24 years. #LaneCrawford

Last year as the Lane Crawford creative team drew up plans for a monster Christmas big on fun and gifts, they dreamed up a furry mascot they called Baz, a hoarder whose biggest trigger is the festive season and all its temptations. Baz first appeared at Christmas 2023 as charms on our sales associates’ uniforms and a life-size creature for hugs and photos, and we were taken back by the demand for his cuteness. Now Baz has Friends and they’ve invaded Lane Crawford this Christmas. There’s Rox, a fashion-loving feline, Max the flavoursmith or gourmet glutton in plain speak, and an army of little Baz to help with the hoarding from our gift selection. This is a new world for us, from curator to creator of our own characters with an in-house designed merchandise range of oversized hoodies, bag charms and key rings, plush toys, cushion blankets and a number of collaborations - cashmere sweaters with Dreyden, Crocs pin sets, scented candles with To Summer, glass baubles and bottles with figurines together with Ichendorf, Baz figures with ToyQube and Christmas baubles with IMPULS. And New York narrative painter Dan May has bought the crew to life in gorgeous illustrations featured in a kidults book of short poems and our sell-out “Not An Advent Calendar’’, a massive Baz & Friends storybook.

As curators we search the world to expand the horizons of our customers. We thrive on the discovery of, and collaboration with, independent brands and creatives and seeing our customers respond just as passionately to unique voices and fresh, new product. So, we were thrilled to welcome back the supremely talented jewellery and engraving artisan Castro Smith after an overwhelming customer response last year. Castro has an incredible ability to engage and draw out people’s personal stories and secrets to encapsulate them in bespoke, forever pieces. He is artist, therapist and craftsman all in one – no wonder he’s a hit with us all.

We were thrilled to have Thom Browne, Inc. with us in Hong Kong for the launch of Past, Present, Future, a pop up that featured an exhibition of his AW24 runway pieces. The title is also a fitting tribute to our partnership with Thom as we celebrate 15 years past and look forward to many more in future. As for the present, our customers couldn’t be happier, sweeping up the new collection including the made-to-order animal handbags, and our Lane Crawford team were front and centre with Thom as you can see from the video. A big thank you to Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine, and the teams at Pitti Uomo and Lane Crawford for orchestrating a unique collaboration that brings the essence of sartorial craftsmanship and innovation directly to our customers in Hong Kong. Pitti Uomo is one of the most pivotal trade fair platforms in menswear, showcasing the apex of global menswear brands and talent. Our menswear buyers make biannual trips to Pitti in Florence to select collections for each season. But following the success of a bespoke menswear initiative in our stores last year, they thought bringing the Pitti experience, which is usually reserved for the industry, to our customers would take that engagement to the next level, deepening their knowledge and appreciation of sartorial tailoring and innovative techwear through their interaction with designers, tailors and makers. We’re also thrilled to introduce J∞Quality, a Japanese collective producing high-quality menswear for brands like Sacai and The Row, which incorporates innovative textile technologies with artisan methods, available for purchase for the very first time globally.
