  • Diamond Cab 3.0 x Manchester Camerata: Exploring First Diamond Leisure Project in the UK This summer when I stayed in London, my social enterprise friend Dr.Yanki Lee, Founder of Enable Foundation connected me with Manchester Camerata which is a Charity providing Dementia Care with Classical Music 🎼 . Music Cafe is designed to stimulate the cognitive response and is a verified Social Prescription in the UK. In Mid Oct Diamond Leisure firstly collaborated with Enable Foundation and Manchester Camerata, driving 4 elders in wheelchairs to join the Music in Mind event at Xiqu Centre🥳! When the musician played “Shanghai Beach”, the famous Guangdong TV drama theme song in 80s, the elders and all participants were so excited to play the musical instruments in the familiar rhythm, lovely…🥰 Music can heal, better than taking medicine BUT without sufficient wheelchair accessible transportation, the patients cannot take such wonderful social prescription♿️🚘. Here comes to the business opportunities for Diamond Cab in the UK. Let’s explore how to make the fleet then scale up Music Cafe in the UK!!🇬🇧 So happy to secure a great partnership ahead…💎🚘✨❣️ #diamondcab #diamondcabhk #diamondcabuk #impactinvestment

We officially start to study the first overseas franchise model to share the Diamond Cab brand assets💎✨, management strategies, human resource training 🧑🏻🏫and fundraising network💰💕, etc to the newly established company in Manchester. Thanks again to Marcus Axelson having searched me in hashtag #LinkedIn in early 2023 and invited me to speak at Global Taxi Summit in July 2023. Since then we start to study the possibility of founding same wheelchair accessible vehicle service in the UK with Gavin Cooper! Dear UK 🇬🇧 friends, let’s make it HAPPEN! The aging world is urgently calling our attention to help!! In my mind, I have new ideas of Aging Friendly Long Haul Travel 👵🏻🧓🏼👴🏻😍🥰, aging should not be a barrier for you to travel safe and happy!! * Thanks proximo friends showing us how wheelchair accessible vehicles work in the UK #diamondcab #happyagingbeyondhongkong #manchester

  • The Secret Recipe to Engage with The Best Empathetic Taxi Drivers… While Doris was in the UK 🇬🇧 this summer, she was asked “How can you recruit the excellent Diamond Cab drivers in Hong Kong🇭🇰 ?!” Well, she thinks firstly we have to set and then cultivate the culture of respect 🫡 to the taxi drivers who in her hearts are truly heroes. Since 2011 launching Diamond Cab, Doris will organize regular monthly meetings with Diamond Cab drivers. The meetings truly facilitate the effective communication between the management and the drivers. She will make sure the voice of the drivers can be heard in our Board Meeting💬♥️. As time goes by, Diamond Cab drivers will establish the sense of brand ownership which sustains their mission and also proud to be a Diamond Cab Driver💎🚘. Then the passengers will directly feel that our drivers really love their jobs from the bottom of their hearts. 💕 After launching Diamond Cab 2.0, we have trained 20+ new drivers in recent months🫶🏻. All are invited to join the Diamond Cab Driver Meeting this Monday. A new driver said, “Wow! It’s really eye opening😍! The first time I see the taxi drivers can talk to the CEO in equal dialogue!”😅 Actually our rental relationship has transformed into intimate friendship for over 13+ years!! Shared Value and Mutual Respect really matters.✨ Yesterday three Diamond Cabs were booked to transport the elders in the nursing homes in Tai Kok Tsui to participate in the interesting event. Thanks Queenie Man, the Founder and CEO of Project Futurus always trust our drivers who can do the best💪🏻💖. Yes, we are dedicated to further expand the Driving with Empathy culture which Doris thinks is the essential element for every Happy Aging Society👵🏻👴🏻🧓🏼🥰❣️ #diamondcab #barrierfreetaxi #diamondcabdrivers #drivingwithempathy

  • Diamond Cab 3.0: Happy Aging Beyond Hong Kong Last summer Doris Leung, the Founder and CEO was invited to speak at Global Taxi Summit 2023 organized in Manchester, sharing the Diamond Cab 1.0 to 2.0, from taxi disruption to digital transformation. Gavin Cooper, Sales Director of Proximo Group located in Chester, Liverpool connected her and shared the lack of Diamond Cab drivers in the UK while the demand of wheelchair accessible vehicles is increasing in demand. While before Gavin approached her, one of Doris’ friends in Manchester said he wants to be a Diamond Cab driver and asked her to found Diamond Cab in the UK! What a great potential to connect the huge demand of wheelchair accessible transportation and potential supply of Diamond Cab drivers in Manchester!! After conducting research and seeking potential partnerships for a year, Doris has kicked off the Diamond Cab 3.0 and now is already in London with my little team in the UK starting our first transportation industry conference soon. Doris hopes we can further expand our business in Manchester with more like-minded partners, investors and supporters. With the 14+ years of experience starting up and operating in Hong Kong, I am confident that we can achieve our Diamond dream firstly in Manchester. Should you have any potential partners possible working with us, please feel free to contact us. It’s time for Diamond Cab to further thrive, beyond Hong Kong and closer to the global aging communities! #diamondcabhk #diamondcabuk #happyagingbeyondhongkong

  • Diamond Cab has increased to 7 cabs in fleet, after launching Diamond Cab 2.0! In 2007, Doris Leung, the Founder and CEO was diagnosed breast cancer and the operation of Diamond Cab was handover to Acting CEO Damiao. He and the team reviewed the financial situation of Diamond Cab and found that 4 old Noah Welcabs has spent much of the operation costs especially for maintenance.🧮 To keep the cash flow healthier and save Diamond Cab, Damiao had no choice but to give up these 4 out of 7 cabs. Some drivers changed to be Call Center staff while some were forced to leave.🥹 Then Doris finished the cancer treatment and back to Diamond Cab office in mid 2019. After working hard for five years, we launched Diamond Cab 2.0 this year so we can train up more quality drivers systematically with a training course Driving with Empathy. 💪🏻 11 graduated drivers are now ready to drive Diamond Cabs on roads! Three of them just co-rented a new Diamond Cab LITE ready to serve soon…👏🏻 Be resilient, in whatever life stage, it really works. For entrepreneurs, keep your eyes open to recruit the best talents who can help you to scale up!😍 #diamondcab #diamondcabdrivers #drivingwithempathy

  • Thanks #UNWIRE interviewing us with details on why and how we made the Training Simulator Driving with Empathy. We demonstrate how we can build the new tools to solve the problems of bad taxi driving. And we only train those with good attitude and intention to join as Diamond Cab drivers. We are happy to see the new taxi fleet management policy is going to launch which means the taxi operators will compete with quality services more seriously in the market. Only complaining cannot change the world, better rolling sleeves and get partnership to make it happen... #diamondcab #drivingwithempathy #ForceForGood

  • How does the ever first Training Simulator Driving with Empathy work? Even though the battle between the bad taxi drivers and the Hongkong citizens/netizens never ends, Diamond Cab keeps innovating and tries to make the breakthrough with real vision and action. When Doris, the Founder and CEO of Diamond Cab started to think how we can train more good drivers in 2022, she recalled my memory of learning to drive decades ago. She likes to go to the Game Centre to play the Racing Car Simulator which did give very real experience of driving. Then she thought why not we make a Diamond Cab Simulator?! The taxi partner Barry said, "There is a guy teaching drifting with the Simulator, maybe he knows how to write the similar software program?" "Great, where to find him?" "He was interviewed by Unwire and the video is on YouTube." "Oh, I want to find him, Robert Chan..." Then Doris connected Dennis Cheng, the Editor of Automobile magazine and successfully talked to Robert. Wow, Robert loves her idea so much and is dedicated to make it happen with Diamond Cab team since the end of 2022! Here we go, after working super hard in fundraising, planning, designing, programming, testing and launching on 13 May, finally we can show how powerful this Training Simulator is. Last week Robert and Doris were interviewed by Unwire again and the viewership of the interview is over 15,000 in 1 day! From Taxi Disruption to Digital Transformation, Doris thinks she has done something really extraordinary again. Her vision is not just about training the taxi drivers in Hong Kong, but all drivers even the AI auto-driving machine, there should have an unique driving skill called "Driving with Empathy", to take good care of the passengers with special needs. With Diamond Cab exclusive operation experience of barrier-free taxis for over 14 years, we should be the only changemaker in the world. Other than training real taxi drivers, we also open up to train Carer Drivers who may have to take care of the family members or friends in need. Welcome the Corporate HR/CSR teams to organize for their staff to join the 3hrs class with the trial of the Diamond Cab Training Simulator. Each participant will be charged $50 only. This project is funded by the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund and The Chen Wai Wai Vivian Foundation. Please email to: enquiry@diamondcab.com.hk or call Jim Ho, Operation and Business Development Manager, Diamond Cab at +852 2882 3348 for more information. Let's cheers for Diamond Cab 2.0: Building Happy Aging Infrastructure! 😍 #diamondcab #drivingwithempathy #diamondcabdrivers #ForceForGood

  • “Don’t Give Up!” Thanks Cyrille Vingneron for your heartfelt words, you made the day!🥰 As the Former Fellow 2013 of Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards, I was honored to be invited joining the CWIA 2024 organized in Shenzhen, China this week. This is my first reunion with my lovely Cartier sister impact entrepreneurs since I was awarded. After 11 years, the Fellow 2013 Leonora O'Brien shared how she sold her business successfully! Bravo… What an amazing trip just next to Hong Kong. I met so many smart, talented, empathetic and visionary women from different parts of the world. This is the only universe of Sister Love For Business! Natalie Chan Xania Wong Megan Lam Olivia Cotes-James Queenie Man Dorothy Lam Corina Huang Hannah Chou Jiwon Park Erica Cole Vivian Lau Out of the glamour, we all have our hardships and dilemmas to overcome in the long impact journeys, sometimes it’s truly difficult to find immediate or even ultimate solutions. So tough… Cyrille Vingneron, President and CEO, Cartier shared his speech in the Award Ceremony and the soundbite “Don’t Give Up!” really melted my heart. Yes, I have been thinking to give up running Diamond Cab while I was in the breast cancer treatment in Sep 2017- Feb 2019. The business model 1.0 with the super limited supply of barrier-free vehicles and caring drivers are both out of my own control. 🥺 Diamond Cab is in deficits since founding in 2010, how sustainable it can be? I don’t know how to transform the business model before 2023… Now in 2024, finally I launched Diamond Cab 2.0, from taxi disruption to digital transformation with Training Simulator Driving with Empathy, I also made it together with a new Hybrid Diamond Cab!😍 So, “Don’t Give Up” is not simple kind words, to me, it’s a self-motivated and super patient experience with faith in my cab business transformation for over a decade. Thanks Cyrille and Cartier Women’s Initiative Award team for your super profession and dedication to connect us all globally together. Wingee Sin Marine CHARVET Cindy Chee Karen Kang Nigel Luk I enjoyed the event so much, and got lovely and cheerful reunion and also new dialogue with my respectful sisters.
