  • 🎄 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬: 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐒𝐈𝐀 2024 🎁 As we say goodbye to 2024 and the holiday season begins, we partnered with Actory at Studenterhuset for the final edition of the Sustainable Innovation Academy (SIA) this year to discuss Christmas Consumerism. Christmas is a time of celebration, but it also drives a surge in consumerism, leading to increased waste and environmental impact. In Denmark, the festive season results in a 24% rise in waste. Excessive gift-giving often leads to unused items, while festive feasts generate significant food waste. Additionally, disposable wrapping paper and plastic decorations contribute to environmental harm. One of the highlights this season is vanilla, a key ingredient in many holiday recipes. Truely_cph and Social Vanilla are doing amazing work by sustainably sourcing vanilla from farmers in Uganda. For our case study, participants chose to work with them to showcase how transparency in the supply chain can be a competitive advantage and how to market their products as affordable and sustainable options. Thank you Amie N´Dong for sharing your passion with us, and to all our participants for the incredible presentations! Stay tuned for next year when we bring SIA to Aarhus! • 🌍 Highlights from "From the Nordics to Global Climate Action" 🌱 On November 14th and 15th, we partnered with the CBS Climate Club to host the event From the Nordics to Global Climate Action. It was truly inspiring to witness the exciting initiatives thriving across critical areas of sustainability. Throughout the event, one word stood out above all: collaboration. Over two days of insightful discussions, we delved into key topics such as: 💡 International integration in the green sector 🌿 The role of Denmark and the Nordics in sustainability 🌎 Climate action and youth engagement Together with CEMS - The Global Alliance in Management Education, Degrowth Copenhagen, Københavns Kommune, People of 2050, SENPAGE, SustainX, and Sustainability Advocates, we explored the power of collaboration in driving sustainable solutions. By showcasing different approaches to sustainability across the private, non-profit, and government sectors, we realized just how much each of us has to contribute—and how collaboration is key to building a global network of youth committed to taking meaningful action for a brighter, more sustainable future. 💪✨ A special shoutout to Alicja Dominas, Emma Steger, and Leola Ou Yang for accepting our challenge and creating an incredible study case on how to retain international students and provide them with opportunities to enter the Danish green job market. Your innovative ideas are truly inspiring! 👏🌱 Thank you to all our partners, participants, and speakers for making this event a success! Your dedication and passion for sustainable change are what make events like this so powerful. Let’s keep pushing forward and continue to work together to create a brighter, greener future for all. 🌍 Ilie Tomulescu I Vivien Kovács I Ena Maro I Andreas Sheridan I Linda Luciani I Kjell Redecker I Mikkel Beyer Mogensen I Fatima Awad I Sean Vincent Farrell #ClimateAction #YouthEngagement #Sustainability #GlobalPartnerships #GreenInnovation #CBSClimateClub #Sustainary #InternationalTalent
