Kjippen is a carnival in Florø, the most westerly town in Norway 🇳🇴 taking place every New Year’s Eve. Participants in this carnival share satirical commentary on current (local) affairs through their costumes and amplify their messages with floats, street theatre and posters. Live bands add to the general atmosphere. The tradition goes back to the 1800s in central Europe, where craftsmen in costumes created mayhem (or kjipp) in the streets to protest at low wages. 🕯️Lucia Day is a beautiful event taking place every year on December 13 in celebration of Santa Lucia's life as a martyr. It is a parade of children dressed in white usually lead by a girl wearing a crown of candles in her hair. The event is a symbol for the light that always conquers the dark. Instead of a nativity play in schools up and down the country, children look forward to taking part in the parade through their school or in their local area. 🤖 Shape Robotics is proud to announce the results of a special program our team developed in collaboration with Google for Education, Intel and CCT Poland: the AI LAB PROJECT in Poland 🇵🇱. The project was carried out at the Mikołaj Kopernik High School in Ilza and lasted over half a year. During this time, technologies such as Google Workspace, browser-based laptops, and Thinken from Shape Robotics were introduced to the school's teachers and students. As the project concuded, we are happy to report that both students and teachers find the lessons conducted using these technologies more engaging and interesting.
