SaltPower

Another successful conference presentation by SaltPower. It is experimentally impossible to measure the water permeability through active layer of a thin film composite polyamide membrane. At SaltPower, we tried a mathematic approach to make this possible and indeed we succeeded. This investigation was presented by Senior Scientist Haofei Guo at the conference FILTECH 2024, Membrane session M8, on 14th November at Cologne, Germany. And it is a great honor to be invited by FILTECH 2024 to give a talk and share our research and findings with fellow professionals.

The founder of SaltPower, Jørgen M. Clausen, gave a presentation at Salt Tectonics for the energy transition in London, UK, on Energy Potential in Salt. "It is a story that I love to tell. We have a strong foundation, with a plant that has been running several months. The fact that we are also mentioned in the recently released report by Mario Draghi "The future of European competitiveness" page 138 makes me very proud on behalf of SaltPower and the entire team", says Jørgen M. Clausen. 

Monday this week, SaltPower made a presentation at the Solution Mining Research Institute conference in Edmonton titled “Osmotic energy for solution mining – operating data and experience” about the experience we have gained our our first industrial osmotic energy plant. Research and development is a part of SaltPower DNA. SaltPower was founded in 2015 and we have since published a number of scientific articles about the development of pressure retarded osmosis, in journals and at conferences. Today Friday and tomorrow Saturday, SaltPower is present at “Europafolkemødet” the Peoples Meeting about the European Union, about a week before the election for the European Parliament. The event is arranged by EuropaHus Mariagerfjord - Danmarks Europafolkemøde. SaltPower Founder and owner Jørgen M. Clausen was on stage discussing innovative ideas like Osmotic Energy from SaltPower together with Marcus Knuth, Julius Schubring and Lars Erik Jønsson. The discussion was very well moderated by Jens Rohde. SaltPower is also present at the event with a stand and we are happy to talk about the advantage of osmotic energy with many interested visitors.

The last 2 days, SaltPower has participated in Solution Mining Research Institute Spring Conference in Krakow. It has been a great event with many interesting presentations. The SaltPower stand has received many interested visitors and it was great to have the chance to discuss osmotic energy with so many people. From SaltPower we also want to say a big thanks to Solution Mining Research Institute staff for organizing this great event. We hope to talk with many of the participants again in the near future and we already look forward to the next event in Edmonton in September.
