  • MoveByBike Denmark is (back) in business! Thanks to an amazing team of riders, dispatchers and mechanics, our supportive management team and our loyal clients, MoveByBike Denmark has been able reestablish its operations in Copenhagen. There is still some way to go, but we are optimistic and are working hard to ensure long-term success! The branding of our e-cargo bikes shows the finalisation of the transition from Chainge to MoveByBike Denmark - we are quite pleased with the result💚 HelloFresh | Frugt.dk | ZENZ Organic | BYGAARD MoveByBike Europe AB

  • As we navigate the green transition, it's critical to emphasize that fair pay, decent contracts, and good working conditions aren't just ethical imperatives but powerful competitive advantages. For too long, the delivery sector has been plagued by a race to the bottom, prioritizing cost-cutting at the expense of worker welfare. This has resulted in a demoralized workforce, a situation starkly apparent when meeting drivers who yearn for fair treatment. However, as the green transition reshapes the industry, there's a unique opportunity to redefine success. By embracing eco-friendly practices and committing to fair labor standards, national postal services and or private actors can differentiate themselves. The shift to sustainable vehicles and optimized routes, coupled with a workforce treated with respect and paid fairly, will create a resilient and motivated team. This not only improves service quality but also fosters loyalty and productivity, essential components for thriving in a competitive market. Moreover, as consumers become increasingly conscious of their environmental footprint, companies that demonstrate a genuine commitment to sustainability and ethical practices will attract more business. Ultimately, integrating fair pay, decent contracts, and good working conditions with green initiatives can transform national and/or private postal services into industry leaders. By valuing both the planet and their people, these organizations can navigate the green transition successfully and set a new standard for the entire sector.

**Are national postal services dying because they slept through the changes or will they now win the market with the oncoming wave of "Green Transition"? For many outsiders and critics, it's easy to point fingers at the strategies and capabilities of national postal services over the past years. These companies have faced deficit after deficit, requiring taxpayer support. Often, this criticism lacks an understanding of the market dynamics and the mechanisms at play, as well as a clear perspective on what role our state-owned enterprises should assume. The pressure on prices due to IT advancements and platform economies has made profitability nearly impossible. The journey has largely been about firefighting to save what revenue could be salvaged. The market conditions and competition have not revolved around delivery efficiency but rather the innovation in compensating for the most expensive part of the journey - the "last mile." Globally, we've witnessed an indifference to the rights of employees or subcontractors, with many hiding behind well-drafted agreements, while drivers typically work out of fear rather than passion. Postal services have not had the option to "play along," and customers have demanded free shipping. However, the premise is now changing, and with it, the possibility of maintaining free deliveries is altering significantly. Our world is undergoing a substantial transformation. In my 15 years in this market, having followed systems worldwide, met drivers, and handled countless packages in various setups, it's clear that the changing premise - the green transition 🌍♻️ - presents vast opportunities. It also instills real fear in players whose only unique selling proposition has been price. This is where national postal services have the chance to truly leverage their infrastructure. With the introduction of new types of vehicles, more transshipments, and more packages per stop, a different cost structure will emerge. Most players are not built for this, and their employees are not trained for anything beyond cheap delivery. If postal services seize the opportunity to offer green solutions, where decency pervades the workforce and the entire company culture, they could become the winners under the new premise. 🚛📦 From my holiday in southern Spain, I've met many drivers who long for fair pay and treatment where decency is the norm. It will be exciting to see who seizes the opportunity instead of fighting against it. 🌞🚚 #GreenTransition #PostalService #Sustainability #Logistics #FutureOfDelivery #FairWork #Innovation #BusinessStrategy #Leadership #ClimateChange #EthicalBusiness
