📖 💡 At AAU OPEN, we're trying something new: parallel publishing a commercial book as #OpenAccess. We've partnered with Nord Academic / Gads Forlag, the commercial publisher behind this impressive three-volume work. At the same time, we've made it freely available online, resulting in more than 250 downloads in less than three weeks! In this case, both publishing channels can coexist and complement each other. Some readers prefer the tactile experience of a printed book but might want to preview the 2000+ pages before committing to three volumes. Others might appreciate the ability to search the document or share parts of the publication. We hope this model will help more books reach a wider audience by combining traditional commercial publishing with Open Access.
