📖 💡 At AAU OPEN, we're trying something new: parallel publishing a commercial book as #OpenAccess. We've partnered with Nord Academic / Gads Forlag, the commercial publisher behind this impressive three-volume work. At the same time, we've made it freely available online, resulting in more than 250 downloads in less than three weeks! In this case, both publishing channels can coexist and complement each other. Some readers prefer the tactile experience of a printed book but might want to preview the 2000+ pages before committing to three volumes. Others might appreciate the ability to search the document or share parts of the publication. We hope this model will help more books reach a wider audience by combining traditional commercial publishing with Open Access. A big thank you to Nord Academic / Gads Forlag, Thomas Højrup, and Niels Jul Nielsen for their trust and collaboration! https://lnkd.in/d4Cs8KdP Aalborg University VELUX FONDEN

Thank you Linda for your fantastic presentation at our launch party last friday! 🍾 📚 Your insights on how you've used Open Access publishing with us to reach your students, research stakeholders and general public were inspiring and engaging - as always!
Forskningsleder for AAU Design Lab. 🌱 Ekspert i bæredygtigt design og forbrug. Produktlevetid, cirkularitet og reparation. Ansvarligt design.
📚BOOK LAUNCH! 🥂 📕Today, our book AFFORDANCE is published! It is written with my great co-authors Ole B. Jensen and Markus Löchtefeld. It unfolds the affordance concept across scales. 📖 It is the first volume in our new book series 'Design Vocabularies' from AAU OPEN on key concepts within design. We are happy to announce it is of course open access for all our students, alumni’s and everyone curious of design. Find it here: https://lnkd.in/dk6xptdy 🎉 Last week Kathrine Bjerg Bennike and Anna Stegger Gemzøe invited me to speak at the official launch of AAU OPEN. Where I presented AAU Design Labs research and dissemination strategy and why open access publishing is important, as a supplement to publishing in leading academic journals. Yay! #knowledgefortheworld! 🌎
