🏅TrollWall AI won the Society category at the final of Startup Awards Slovakia SASK!!! 🇸🇰 Our Co-founder and CEO Tomáš Halász delivered his final pitch last night, representing TrollWall AI to compete against 11 other startups at the Startup Awards Slovakia final. His mere 4 minutes on stage not only summarised our mission and product in the most presentable manner, but also connected with the audience through the real-life examples of online hate speech from our clients. We are incredibly honoured that our hard work and mission is being well recognised by the panel of jury: Tatiana Ondrejkova, Andrej Kiska, Vit Horky and Rasto Hlavac. This serves not only as a testament to our team and product, but also an immense recognition to the invisible battle we fight everyday: making social media a better place, one checked comment at a time. 🇷🇴 TrollWall AI stands against online violence amidst the Romanian Presidential and Parliamentary elections    Romania recently held parliamentary elections on December 1, 2024, and the first round of presidential elections in late November. Amidst the uproar of public opinions, several journalists, actors, and prominent online figures have been the targets of death threats after expressing their opinions.    Terrifying threats like “I will kill you with my own hand. And you can go anywhere in this world, I will find you.” were received by journalist and content creator Dragos Patraru, as well as actor Victor Rebengiuc.   This worrying phenomenon amidst the elections has repercussions on the entire Romanian community, implicitly also on those from the vulnerable and minority groups such as the Roma community. Members of NGO for the rights of the Roma minority, Roma for Democracy Romania, have reported receiving death threats on social networks such as "Jews and Gypsies must be eliminated", accompanied by images of firearms, legionary symbols and SS insignia.    At TrollWall AI, we have been advocating endlessly for online safety, as historical events show that online violence has the high tendency to turn into offline violence. This was one of the key questions addressed at the ALDE Party Accelerator event in Athens during the panel discussion: "The Rise of Political Tech: The Role of Digital in the World’s Biggest Elections."
