Tourism Talent was created to connect great tourism businesses with outstanding talent. We specialise in executive recruitment for the tourism and hospitality sector and understand the industry. We are a talent marketplace dedicated to the tourism industry, allowing tourism operators big and small the chance to connect with skilled professionals for full time and temporary opportunities. We also work with a number of partners to change perception of tourism as a career. The three directors are all highly engaged with developing talent and sit on a number of boards and advisory panels within both the tourism and education sectors. This senior leadership role is based in Auckland overseeing the day to day running of Explore Group’s suite of marine based cruises and tours. Explore Group offers a range of marine based excursions in Auckland, the Bay of Islands, and the Whitsundays, starting with one America’s Cup yacht in Auckland New Zealand in 1999, and have expanded to be a multi-region and multi-product operation. The key objective of the role is to manage the daily operations of our tourism products and services in Auckland with 3 direct reports and a team of up to 45 over the summer. Proven experience in management across operations, staff management, HR, recruitment and administration are required. The successful candidate will have exceptional verbal and written communication, an ability to motivate and lead teams, and be able to manage simultaneously multiple products and projects. Whilst finance, sales and marketing is handed centrally, strong understanding and knowledge of these disciplines is also required.
