One thing we love about Cricket Wellington Inc approach to waste minimisation at the Basin Reserve? The simplicity. They understand the value of engaging experts who turn goals into tangible outcomes, making sustainability progress seamless. 🏏 Last weekend at the Basin Reserve, while the Black Caps and England battled it out on the pitch, 1.5 tonnes of waste were kept out of the landfill. But this is more than a waste story. ♻️ 700kg of cans didn’t just get recycled —they went to The Kai Ika Project's Cans for Kai, turning cans into meals for those in need. 🌿 Composting, recycling and rescuing reusable items kept the rest out of landfill Making progress in your sustainability doesn’t need to be complex to make progress. As self-proclaimed data nerds at Nonstop Solutions, we’re still smiling over the numbers from Juicy Fest! 🎉 Last summer’s Juicy Festivals in Wellington and Tauranga were a huge success in terms of sustainability: ✅ 6.3 tonnes diverted from landfill ✅89.2% resource recovery in Wellington (3.8 tonnes diverted) ✅73.6% resource recovery in Tauranga (2.4 tonnes diverted) This is just the beginning. At Nonstop Solutions, we’re committed to proving that sustainability is not just possible, but scalable. Seeing these results consistently fuels our drive to push boundaries, and we’re excited to help make sustainable events the industry standard.

It was fantastic to attend last week’s stakeholder launch for FillGood l Reusable Serviceware —an exciting initiative set to transform Wellington’s event scene! Our directors, Sophie Brooker and Karina McCallum, have proudly represented Nonstop on the FillGood working group, one of many passionate parties helping to shape this initiative that brings reusable cups, plates, and containers to events, making it easier than ever for vendors and attendees to ditch single-use. With our experience in introducing reuse, Nonstop Solutions will be working alongside FillGood as a service provider at some exciting events, managing on-site logistics like serviceware collection, cleaning, and redistribution to ensure everything is ready for use again. This launch opens new doors for scaling up reuse with even more event partners, a step we’ve been eagerly waiting to take! FillGood aligns seamlessly with our mission of moving events up the waste hierarchy, and we couldn’t be prouder to support its launch. It was an honour to attend the Wellington City Mayoral Presentations for The POST 2024 The Wellington Gold Awards yesterday! Being in a room with so many awesome local founders and business owners at Creative HQ reminded me why we love being a part of Wellington. From our experience working around New Zealand, it’s clear that Wellington is leading the way in event sustainability and waste minimisation and Nonstop Solutions is proud to be part of that.
