LASRA is the only leather research institute in Australasia, and one of only 20 world-wide. LASRA's vision is to provide world-class innovation in leather/collagen science and technology to support a vibrant New Zealand leather manufacturing industry and secure its enduring success. Our blend of expertise and experience has made us the Southern Hemisphere’s premier technology and training provider for the fellmongering, leather and footwear manufacturing industries. LASRA’s key focus areas are research and innovation, testing and problem solving, training and technology transfer, leadership and advocacy. LASRA is an IANZ accredited laboratory which provides specialized chemical and physical testing services to the hide and skin processing industry.
