  • It was another rewarding year at MAKE this year, with multiple projects coming to fruition and stunning designs coming to life. We have built extensive partnerships with engineers, suppliers, builders and contractors, who all share similar mindsets towards sustainability and well being in architecture. We hope everyone also had a rewarding year.   Our team is bustling towards end of the year; however, we still have space so get in touch. Any great ideas brewing can be taken off your mind before Christmas.   If you’re too busy to write a brief just give us a quick call to chat about your ideas at 09 973 5338/021 260 0532 (Martin), or drop us an email at studio@makearchitects.co.nz. Our passion is to help make your idea become reality.   Let’s MAKE Together.

  • #ADifference MAKE Architects recently collaborated with Rise Creative and Go Well Consulting Ltd to host an event, #ADifference - Sustainability in Action. Each of us brought our knowledge in our expertise to share. MAKE Architects highlighted how considerate and efficient design can lead to well being of people, and methodologies on how to achieve these through passive design. Go Well outlined the scientific facts behind where we are in sustainability and opportunities for businesses on how to become more sustainable. Rise Creative showcased how importance of sustainability can be expressed effectively through good design. We were blessed with the presence of our network of friends and businesses who are like minded. Thank you to all who attended. Special thanks to our generous sponsors, Pals and Wairau River Wines!

  • It was a pleasure to work with Autex Acoustics New Zealand on this project!

Our team was excited to see the final result at Three Kings Primary—Te Tātua o Rakataura, which recently renovated its transition room. We worked with Three Kings and MAKE Architects NZ to create a space where the room and colour reflected the story of the school. Through the installation of Composition® in a range of colours, they were able to design a space that protects the well-being of their students and teachers and promotes creativity and collaboration, all while ensuring everyone inside can easily hear and be heard. #education #architects #interiordesign
