Last week, we came together as a team to celebrate an incredible year—and what a celebration it was! We began the afternoon honouring Charlie Hughes, who has brought six years of brilliance and heart to Humankind. While it’s bittersweet to see her embark on new adventures, we’re so excited for what lies ahead for her. From there, we took a walk to Waitangi Park for ice cream and reflected on the year through our awards ceremony. We’re grateful Kalyn (KP) Ponti hosted us in the evening, the stunning view set the perfect backdrop for an evening of reflection, fun, and connection. We revisited our highlights through our annual yearbook and played a fun personalised AI-generated music bingo—where each song represented one of us! We wrapped up the evening with thoughtful words and gifts from Samantha Gadd and Steven Gadd, reminding us all how much this team means to each other. This year, we intentionally slowed down our celebrations. Instead of a packed agenda, we focused on meaningful conversations and celebrating the work we’ve done together—perfectly mirroring our strategy to build deeper, lasting relationships. To our Humankind whānau: thank you for the mahi, the laughs, and the impact we create together. 💫

From meditation to gratitude practices, these habits help maintain balance and enhance performance. ⭐ Purpose and connection: Understanding our individual and collective purpose drives us to achieve more. Making Time to Connect, Reflect, and Celebrate 🌟 Yesterday was our monthly Unite day, when we're all in on the same day. Flexibility has been part of our DNA since day 1 and rituals like these make it work for our results and our team. Unite day is an opportunity to pause, celebrate, and connect. Here’s what makes this ritual special: ✅ Celebrating each other – We take time to acknowledge milestones, both big and small, from professional achievements to personal wins. ✅ Focused on results – We dive into our financials, measure how we’re tracking against our goals, and review the progress of our strategy. ✅ Two key focus areas – Each month, we choose two critical areas to develop – always incorporating our Employee Experience (EX) and Customer Experience (CX). ✅ Connecting over lunch – Sharing a meal fosters the kind of connection and discussions that can’t happen over a screen. These purposeful moments together keep us aligned, focused, and connected as a team. They also serve as a reminder of why we’re here: to make work better for everyone. What rituals bring your team together? We’d love to hear how you make time for connection and purpose in your workplace! #EmployeeExperience #TeamCulture #PurposefulConnection
