  • Every year, our Palmerston North office gets into the festive spirit, with teams decorating their areas with all things Christmas🎄 Here's some of our Business Information Service (BIS) and Claims crew in the BIS teams' Christmas grotto —a 'B Corp friendly' grotto with borrowed, re-used and re-purposed materials! How good! Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season. From the team at FMG 💚

  • A big thank you to Ashburton Mayor, Neil Brown, local rural businesses and everyone else who came along to officially open our FMG Ashburton office on Wednesday 🎉 “The opening of our Ashburton office is part of our ongoing efforts to support strong and prosperous rural communities and ensure that our clients have access to the best possible support and resources” - FMG Chief Executive, Adam Heath. What we're really proud of is the fact that this new office features 100% New Zealand wool carpet tiles 🐏 We're all about championing New Zealand's wool sector and this is one way we can support that. “As a Mutual our clients’ success is our success. That’s why we look to get behind our farmers wherever we can and showing our commitment to the strong wool sector is one way we can do this” - FMG Sustainability Specialist, Emma Rowe. 👉 To read more about FMG's Ashburton office opening head to - https://lnkd.in/gtF_pDPR

Angela Taylor, Advice Service Manager at FMG (Farmers Mutual Group), highlights the importance of this training: “Small businesses, including those in rural areas, are increasingly targeted by cybercriminals. We must explore new ways to engage our clients on these complex issues." https://hubs.la/Q02VyWMH0

  • Ever seen pigs fly? Neither have we, but our FMG employees sure can fly through an obstacle course dressed as pigs 🐷 Feilding's Rural Day is a day we look forward to every year, where the country comes to town in little ol' Feilding. It was a great blue-sky day connecting with our local Feilding community, and to top it off, our baaautiful relay team came away winning best dressed! Bring on next year 💪

  • Last week we were lucky enough to join the 2024 FMG Region-off winners, Taranaki/Manawatu, at the Grass Roots Trust Helicopter hangar to see them present their winning cheque of $5000. Earlier in the year, the region managed to collect 2,095 public votes, 5,514 points in community contributions and 22 points at the FMG Young Farmer of the Year Grand Final, when regions were pitted against each other in a firewood challenge. The 2024 FMG Region-off, which sits alongside the FMG Young Farmer of the Year, saw more than 1091 meals cooked, 22 loads of firewood donated and delivered and 3390m of fencing completed in New Zealand communities (just to name a few of the give-back activities regions got up to). Congratulations Taranaki/Manawatu Young Farmers, you've done yourselves and your region proud 💚 You can read more about the FMG Region-off and our 2024 champions, Taranaki/Manawatu, here - https://bit.ly/3TCXhy4

  • We can't believe it's been two months since FMG Young Farmer of the Year's Grand Final! A big congratulations to all 2024 finalists from AgriKids, Juniors and Young Farmers. You should all be so proud of what you achieved 👏 Our employees who volunteered their time to help out at the event, came away buzzing and so excited to see what the next generation of young farmers will bring to the industry in the years to come. Of course, a huge congratulations to George Dodson who was crowned our Season 56 FMG Young Farmer of the Year, after what was a nail-biting final 🏆 We're pretty lucky to have George's mum, Sarah, as part of our Business Support team in Christchurch, so it was only fitting we asked her to share a few proud words about George's win. "We are extremely proud of George. The hard work he put into the competition well and truly paid off. The early mornings, late nights and all the weekends spent studying, preparing for the Technical day, practising for the practical elements of the competition, along with quiz nights which fellow Young Farmers came along to, all helped in the end. Congratulations to all competitors and many thanks to all the organisers and the countless volunteers who put their time into the competition every year to make it the amazing event it is." - Sarah Lysaght-Dodson (pictured below with George and family). We say it time and time again, but we absolutely love supporting this Contest alongside its fantastic sponsor family. Bring on Season 57 💪 https://lnkd.in/d6bxSMbp NZ Young Farmers
