A proud moment for our team – we’ve handed over a very special taonga to the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. Our Smoke & Fire peanut butter, which made history as the first New Zealand food to venture into space! Thanks to Nasa SpaceX Crew-8, our peanut butter was sent to the International Space Station, marking a milestone in Kiwi innovation. It’s an absolute honour to have our small contribution to space exploration now preserved in Te Papa’s collection.

Proud moment for me handing over to Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa the latest taonga (treasure) for its collection. Inside this envelope is a Fix & Fogg Smoke & Fire pouch that NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration and SpaceX took to the International Space Station this year - and in doing so, became the first New Zealand food in space. It’s a peanut butter made with Kaitaia Fire Limited chillies and Mānuka smoke. A piece of Kiwi history now officially in the hands of our national museum.

We’re proud to make New Zealand’s favourite Almond Butter, and now this Kiwi staple has been named #1 in the USA too thanks to Eat This, Not That! Peanut Butter, space edition ✨We collaborated with NASA nutritionists to craft a Fix & Fogg space pouch suitable for zero-gravity consumption. Made for astronauts, space pouches are not available on Earth. 🌎 However if you’re a fellow space nut, we’ve got good news. We’ve held onto a few from our space mission and you can bid on them in our Trade Me auction, with all proceeds going to the Women's Refuge. The unique space pouch design features an 18mm wide nozzle, ensuring easy delivery of our crunchy pieces onto low-crumb space bread. These pouches, exclusively made for NASA, embarked on SpaceX Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket to the International Space Station. https://lnkd.in/gz5EH7m2
