    Up in Moerewa, Scope is helping with a new Social Housing development for Ngati Hine. It is progressing quickly now, with some units having roofs & cladding, and others just at the start of the build process. With 35 homes to build, along with a community centre, Canam is working quickly to help solve a desperate need for housing.

    Huge congratulations to Canam Commercial and their project team who took out the Supreme Award Over $10 million at the 2024 New Zealand Commercial Project Awards, for the extraordinary Whangārei Civic Centre. The team were also awarded the Civic Project and a Value Award for a Commercial Project Over $25 million. In a first for the competition, the National Supreme Award has been split into two, recognising projects under and over $10 million. Located in the heart of the city, the new centre is the new headquarters for the Whangārei District Council. It is a purpose-built space, offering a welcoming, inclusive, and easily accessible customer experience. It is designed with sustainability in mind and reflects the region's cultural identity and heritage. Positioned at a key intersection in Whangārei, it is a central hub for the community and local government activities. It has been built with passion and purpose to provide a great asset and enduring legacy to the Northland community.
