Last week, we hosted an event with MAKE│NZ covering our production team leaders and how their leadership approaches changed for the better following our digital transformation. The session highlighted how they empowered other staff to take leadership roles within their lines, using newly acquired real-time data to allow staff at all levels to take responsibility for reaching their production targets. We were fortunate to engage with a group of fantastic Christchurch Manufacturers, which sparked valuable conversations and insights. Thank you to MAKE|NZ and to all those that came along. #NZManufacturing #leadership #DigitalTransformation

The continued support from Adam Sharman and LMAC Group has been a massive contributor to the successful implementation and ongoing development of our digital transformation. One of the biggest wins has been the amount positive communication and collaboration throughout the business. Providing an environment where our staff are able to share thoughts and ideas has been a massive driver for bottom-up development in the office and on the shop floor. With ongoing change and innovation, we are excited to see what happens next. Make sure to take a look at the in depth write up on our digital transformation below.
It has been fantastic to partner with Nathan Hay and the amazing team at Argus ManuTech on their digital manufacturing transformation. The team's holistic approach to transformation, focusing on creating a robust data and process architecture, automating highly repetitive processes and building capability and accountability in the team, all aligned to a common purpose is a great playbook for successful transformation. What a weekend for Kiwi sport! The White Ferns and Black Caps shone on the cricket field, the Black Ferns dominated netball, Liam Lawson made waves in Formula 1 at the USA Grand Prix, Team New Zealand claimed the America’s Cup, and Hayden Wilde triumphed at the World Triathlon Champs. In fact, 75% of TV3 viewers claimed this was NZ’s greatest ever sporting weekend! Now, let’s turn that spotlight to New Zealand’s manufacturing sector. Just like our sporting legends, Kiwi manufacturers back themselves and showcase their world-class capabilities across aerospace, medical, agriculture, clean energy, defence, and food tech on the world stage and are leading the way. On a recent visit to Christchurch, I met with businesses I will spotlight over the next few days – the first is Argus Manutech who has partnered with MARS Bioimaging to manufacture revolutionary photon-counting CT scanners. MARS Bioimaging Ltd, a globally recognised innovator in medical imaging, headquartered in Christchurch, pioneered the development of this groundbreaking technology. With these advanced scanners, medical practitioners can diagnose injuries at the point of care, gaining immediate access to highly accurate imaging. This marks a significant leap forward for the med-tech industry and high-tech manufacturing in New Zealand - Revolutionary CT Scanners to Be Manufactured in Christchurch. The partnership between these two proud Kiwi businesses will bring the next generation of medical imaging technology to the world. Both Argus ManuTech and MARS Bioimaging are excited about the future, as they continue to showcase the capability, growth, and advancement of New Zealand’s manufacturing sector. NZ has amazing talent and capability in the manufacturing sector, and the potential to scale even further. Let's power up, just like our sports stars! https://lnkd.in/gbgjXrpQ #Manufacturing #Innovation #KiwiTech #EconomicGrowth Advanced Manufacturing Aotearoa Nathan Hay Ben Alloway Sarah Ramsay

A Big congratulations to our Argonauts who have recently completed The Learning Wave's Owning my future programme. During the 14 sessions of the programme, the Argonauts were taught communication and problem-solving skills, and tools around resilience to change. The support provided by The Learning Wave has been overwhelming and has been a major help in the growth of our team's skills and confidence. We are excited to continue working with The Learning Wave as our next cohort begins the programme!
Like so many Kiwi manufacturers, Argus ManuTech punches well above its weight. Its leaders recognise that to remain competitive, embracing digital transformation isn't just an option; it's a necessity. Five months ago, members of The Learning Wave sat across from Nathan Hay, General Manager of Argus ManuTech. Nathan is an impressive leader - smart, empathetic, and forward-thinking. He knew how important growing talent at all levels of his business would be to retaining key talent, lifting productivity, and driving competitiveness. We were proud to partner with him and his team to deliver our Owning my future programme, lifting the confidence and skills of his people to become resilient to change, confident communicators, and proactive problem-solvers. Last Friday wrapped up the final of the programme’s 14 sessions, and what a transformation these incredible learners have gone through. These learners have pushed themselves to do things they didn’t think possible and grown so much for their families, community, and workplace. We are so proud of their achievements. A huge thank you to Nathan and Roland Sommer, CEO of Argus Group, for partnering with us and investing in your people the way you have. A special mention to Karen Connor for all your hard work behind the scenes getting this off the ground and supporting it throughout. And lastly, a huge thank you to Kristen Soper - what an amazing facilitator you are (but we knew that already!) #manufacturing #learning #digitaltransformation
