  • We are proud to have supported the Mercury NZ team working on the Kaiwaikawe Wind Farm project – Northland's first wind farm. The wind farm will generate 77 MW of power, enough to power about 27,000 homes, contributing to a more sustainable future and strengthening our country’s energy security.   Anton Trixl led the Anderson Lloyd team, with support from George Leach, George Bridge and Briana Lyons. This is the second major wind farm project that Anderson Lloyd has supported Mercury NZ on in 2024, with Anderson Lloyd also supporting Mercury NZ on the 154 MW Kaiwera Downs 2 wind farm in Southland, which reached FID in June 2024. Congratulations Mercury NZ on achieving another significant milestone in New Zealand’s renewable energy journey.

📢 BIG NEWS! We're thrilled to announce the construction of a new wind farm near Dargaville in Northland. This $287 million investment boosts our total commitment to new renewables to more than $1b over two years. 🌱💡  Construction of the Kaiwaikawe Wind Farm, Northland’s first, will kick off in January 2025. At that point, our talented team will have three renewable energy builds underway simultaneously. It’s an awesome show of the level of activity underway to help get New Zealand electrified, and improve our country’s security of supply.🔌 Kaiwaikawe is a 12-turbine wind farm, generating 77MW and providing 221GWh annually. That's enough to power about 27,000 homes, nearly every occupied dwelling in Whangarei! 🏡⚡  For more details: Check out our full news release: https://lnkd.in/gmX7_twp Download the factsheet from our website: https://lnkd.in/gmWbEtB4 #RenewableEnergy #WindFarms Higgins ElectroNet Group Vestas Northpower
