Kia Ora from Ake Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors, based in Whakatane in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. Our kaupapa is to empower businesses, whānau, organisations to define their aspirations and to work alongside them to reach their potential and thrive. We do this with a distinctly Māori approach that integrates Māori values and culture. Our firm specialises in accounting, advisory and mentoring services custom tailored to Māori Business, Farming and Land Trusts. Through these services we want our clients to be able to make informed financial decisions that will last for years to come.

  • Not long now until our team takes a well-deserved break! 😎 🗓️🎄 Our office will be closed from 3pm on Friday, 20th December, and we'll return on Monday, 6th January.   • Unlocking the potential of Māori land 🌿 Maniapoto Māori Land Opportunities and Growth Event 🌿 🗓️ Friday 29 November 10am - 1pm 📍Les Munro Centre, 8 King Street East Te Kūiti Ake is the new face of advisory, driving Māori economic development and unlocking potential. With a Maniapoto owner, Ake is excited to bring this kaupapa back to Te Nehenehenui. Māori land owners, Land Trusts and interested stakeholders are warmly invited to a seminar dedicated to exploring opportunities to maximise the potential of Māori land, hosted by Ake in partnership with Te Nehenehenui . What to expect: This is an interactive event where Government agencies & industry bodies will deliver short presentations advising on their current funding capacity and strategic direction.   • Kei te neke mātou...we're moving! On November 1, Ake will be moving to a new office space at Level 1, Bridgers’ Building, 88 The Strand, Whakatāne. For us, the kupu “Ake” means onward and upward as well as forever, and we’re excited about this next chapter. By being more visible and giving ourselves room to grow, we’ll be able to extend our reach, our services, and the positive impact we can make for our clients, community and whānau.  We’re also proud to provide our team with a fresh, modern work environment that will help unlock their potential. With a new 20-seat boardroom, we’ll be able to host and extend our manaaki to larger groups.
