A2X is the gold standard in ecommerce accounting for Shopify, Amazon, BigCommerce, eBay, Etsy, and Walmart sellers.

About us

Save time and have confidence in your ecommerce financials. A2X software posts your Shopify, Amazon, BigCommerce, Etsy, Walmart, and eBay sales data directly into QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage in tidy summaries that match the payments to your bank account. Loved and trusted by thousands of merchants and their accountants and bookkeepers (1,500+ reviews, average 4.9 / 5 stars), A2X solves a key pain-point that many ecommerce sellers aren't even aware of: Inaccurate ecommerce financials, often leading to poor business decisions and incorrect tax calculations. Once a seller realizes this issue, fixing it takes dozens of hours spent in spreadsheets, plus constant maintenance to keep things accurate going forward. A2X automation solves this problem seamlessly across all your sales channels, letting you focus on your business with confidence, and with accurate financials. Founded in 2014, A2X operates across APAC, EMEA & North America. It has processed over 700,000,000 orders and reconciled over 3,000,000 settlements for merchants around the globe.

End of year collages aren't lame. They're cool. Yearbooks exist for a reason (was my argument to the marketing team when drafting our EOY newsletter...) What a year it's been for A2X, our customers, and ecommerce accounting partners. Most importantly, this was the year of community, both online and IRL. I've seen countless partnerships, collaborations, and friendships form in 2024, much of it in service to helping ecommerce businesses succeed. There was definitely an energy of "better together", and I'm taking that with me into 2025.

We've made it in the Shopify Winter '25 Edition. I know they say it's boring, but feels like Coachella to us! (we've clearly never been...) Together, we're helping merchants accurately account for B2B orders, without the pain.

The Winter ’25 Edition has arrived. And it’s boring. Every six months, we publish a rundown of everything we’ve built in Editions. Usually, this includes big, flashy product announcements. Not this time. This Edition isn’t about being flashy. It's about making sure everything on Shopify just works. Features that didn’t work together are integrated. Products in early access are rolling out to more merchants. Developers have more surfaces to build. It’s The Boring Edition: https://lnkd.in/gpryFNFJ

”Why would you want A2X to handle your COGS if they’re already tracking it in QuickBooks via purchase orders and invoices?” A great question that was asked on one of our on-demand webinars. It’s a question that comes up A LOT, so we thought we’d share our answer. Along with accurate payout reconciliation, A2X also posts accrual-based COGS. Many sellers will record COGS at the time of purchase—recognizing the expense when they buy the items (e.g., creating a purchase order, receiving a bill, paying the invoice, and recording this as a COGS expense). Whereas A2X supports an accrual approach: recording COGS as an asset when the items are purchased but not yet sold, and only recognizing them as an expense when they’re sold. When goods are sold, A2X’s COGS entry credits your inventory asset account (where the value of your inventory is stored) and debits your inventory expense account. This approach gives you better visibility into accurate profit margins as they won’t be skewed each time you purchase more inventory. If you’d like to dive deeper into this topic, we have a webinar that covers it in detail, it’s on our YouTube channel called ‘Avoid These 3 Ecommerce Accounting Mistakes’ (You can skip to 23:15 for this specific topic) Or you can sign up for a free trial of A2X to see how it works for you.
