And that’s a wrap! The Impact for Africa #Hackathon has officially come to an end, but the energy, cultural exchanges, and #impactful collaborations will resonate for a long time to come. From passionate brainstorming sessions to outstanding teamwork, we witnessed the incredible power of unity as students from 22 African nations joined forces to tackle some of the continent's biggest challenges. #Impact for #Africa was present at the AfricaStartupConference ✨ More than 40 participants from 22 African countries participated in the Impact for Africa #Hackathon, held from 5 to 7 December 2024 and organised by PAUWES - Pan African University Institute of Water and Energy Sciences (including Climate Change) and SYLABS, as part of the African Startup Conference. The hackathon was aligned with the African Union's 2024 theme, “Educate and Skill Africa for the 21st Century." We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the organisers of the Africa Startup Conference, and especially to mister the Minister Noureddine OUADAH, for his unwavering support in making this event a reality. We are proud to have been part of this event and its co-organisation, to #empower young people and spread the #entrepreneurship mindset across the Algerian borders. It’s been nearly a year since we implemented Orange Corners Algeria 🚀. Time has flown, and milestones have been met. But we wanted to take things further. That’s why we made a bold decision ✨: to bring together both Cohorts for an entrepreneurial journey to Ghardaia. The week wasn’t just about training. It became a moment of reflection, a chance for participants to reconnect with their "why." They revisited their projects through fresh lenses, gaining new insights and perspectives. This trip extended far beyond traditional learning; it was about building bridges, where participants from both Cohorts meet our Alumni from earlier support programs like Champidor, Rahamat Foundation, and Jardin du Monde🤝. Each of them came not just to share their successes, but to #empower other entrepreneurs. They offered frank insights into their journeys and shared strategies, lessons learned, and even the mistakes that shaped them. More than that, they demonstrated what true #impact looks like. Whether it was Champidor’s work in sustainable agriculture, Rahamat Foundation’s efforts in community empowerment, or Jardin du Monde’s commitment to promoting local culture, their stories were proof that success is sweeter when it’s shared. They showed how #givingback can amplify impact, turning individual wins into collective progress. In the end, this journey wasn’t just about building businesses. It was about building connections, rediscovering purpose, and realizing the transformative power of #entrepreneurship.
