Explore space in the palm of your hand. Details, concepts, and info stand out with 3D and Augmented Reality (AR) technology. The MR team developed a set of 3D solutions alongside the EUSPA - EU Agency for the Space Programme open days, that helped visitors interactively learn about and experience what they do at the EU Agency for the Space Programme. AR space exploration A WebAR app that allowed visitors to engage and explore the Galileo satellite in great detail, by placing an interactive 3D version of the satellite in their immediate environment. Slideshow app An interactive Windows app that allows users to "scroll" between 8 different past and present satellite images by dragging a scan line left and right.  3D Holofan displays 3D models of the 7 EUSPA satellites were created and displayed on the Holofan at the public event, which added an element of dynamism. The EUSPA's open days were a hit, and we are glad to have played a part in that success. [Life at MR] Updates from the team! Some fun updates from the office in Prague: First, the tree is up and holiday spirits are high!  The shining light of the Christmas tree has returned once again to the office and everyone is rediscovering their cheer. Second, the long-awaited completion of the MRdarts tournament has arrived.  The grand winner is none other than Jakub Nilsson, going 2/3 wins on the final triple header. The competition was fierce and tight until the end. His specialty in getting bulls-eyes ultimately put him ahead of the rest. Communication, security, and navigation are all redefined by satellites in space. And MRstudios recently played a part in helping showcase that. The EUSPA - EU Agency for the Space Programme celebrated its 20th anniversary, and the MRstudios team developed applications for its open house event. Employing augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and a HOLOFAN® app, showcasing the EUSPA Galileo systems and more. The solutions included: - An AR overlay of a satellite and a map, on-site at the EUSPA headquarters, with an AR satellite available on a mobile device. - A touchscreen application that showcases imagery and information the EUSPA has captured. - Holographic images for the Holofan used at their event. - A website app featuring an interactive Galileo Satellite with facts about the system. These interactive 3D apps and visuals developed by MRstudios really helped the EUSPA demonstrate its success over the last 20 years and launch it toward many more. Vor dem offiziellen Teil konnten unsere zahlreich erschienenen Mitglieder nebenan im Deutschen Museum Bonn bei einer exklusiven Mitgliederführung einen Blick hinter die Kulissen erhaschen: Thomas Weiss von unserem Mitgliedsunternehmen MRstudios - Industrial VR/AR zeigte, wie der Linearbeschleuniger für den zukünftigen Ausstellungsbereichs zum Einsatz von KI in der Teilchenphysik mit der Unterstützung des Fördervereins "zum Leben erweckt" wurde. Für dir Öffentlichkeit soll der neue Erlebnisraum mit diesem Exponat im kommenden Jahr eröffnet werden.

MRstudios co-founder and CTO, Thomas Weiss, recently attended the Mitgliederversammlung (General meeting) for the WISSENschaf(f)t SPASS - Förderverein für Bildung und Innovation im Rheinland e.V.. The meeting was held at the Deutsches Museum in Bonn, for whom MRstudios had previously developed interactive 3D apps. The WISSENschaf(f)t Spaß association, which MRstudios has also been working closely with, strives to educate children and youth in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, technology, and more. Before the meeting, attendees were offered a tour of the museum, where they got to check out the latest Drift Tube app developed for Deutsches Museum by MRstudios. The app helps young museum visitors learn about complex linear particle accelerators through 3D game play.
