Dr. Starr co-developed the Starr-Edwards valve – launching the world into the modern era of heart valve disease treatment. His work laid the foundation for advancements in both mechanical and tissue heart valves and, for the first time, offered hope to people suffering from heart valve disorders. On behalf of the millions of patients whose lives he touched, we extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Starr for his contributions to science and healthcare.

Bill has always had a passion for adventure, spending his time flying airplanes, skiing, scuba diving, and cycling.
