Humble Group’s Jalofoods | Certified B Corporation achieves B Corp Certification! Humble Group is thrilled to announce that its Finnish subsidiary, Jalofoods is now a Certified B Corporation. This marks the second subsidiary under Humble Group to achieve certification in the past year. Jalofoods (officially known as Oy Soya Ab) is a Finnish food manufacturer which creates organic products for protein-rich vegetarian cooking. Its vision, since the company was established in 1989, has been to promote the well-being of both people and the planet. Jalofoods’ products are produced in Finland using nutritious, organic Austrian soybeans and follows traditional tofu production methods rooted in Asia hundreds of years ago. Over the decades, the company has developed a unique and sustainable business model which includes responsible sourcing, prioritizes renewable energy for its manufacturing (including an on-site biogas plant) and upholds high social standards for its employees. B Corp Certification means Jalofoods has been verified as meeting B Lab’s high standards for social and environmental impact, that it has made a legal commitment to stakeholder governance, and that it is demonstrating accountability and transparency by disclosing this record of performance in a public B Corp profile. “We are immensely proud of the dedication of the Jalofoods team in pursuing this globally recognized certification.
