CETIS: Pioneering Carbon Emissions Calculation in Security Printing   We’re proud to share that CETIS security and compliance officer Boštjan Kolar was invited by #INTERGRAF to present our case, titled “Getting to Know your Emissions – A Practical Approach” at the Cash Sustainability Forum in Frankfurt earlier this week. He revealed a deep dive into the complexities of carbon emissions calculation in the security printing industry.   Guided by the INTERGRAF recommendations, which are based on the International Greenhouse Gas Protocol, Boštjan outlined 13 key parameters that represent 95% of a print process or product’s emissions. Our collaboration with ClimateCalc was highlighted, showcasing their approach that not only aligns with INTERGRAF standards and the GHG protocol but also provides an industry-specific method for accurately determining the carbon footprint of our security printing activities.   At CETIS, we are committed to sustainability and transparency in our operations as well as ongoing efforts to understand and reduce our environmental impact. Following the successful implementation of our security printing solutions across Latin America, we are honoured to participate in the XXI CLARCIEV Meeting and Technology Fair 2024 in São Paulo, Brazil, from 3-5 July 2024, for the first time. Latin American and Caribbean Council of Civil Registry, Identity and Vital Statistics (CLARCIEV) brings together Civil Registry institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean, with the aim of providing a forum for the exchange of experiences in the registration and identification of persons and promoting support among registry institutions.
