What inspired you to partner with UNICEF? We cannot do this alone. Partnerships are essential to UNICEF’s work, helping us reach the most remote communities, ensuring every child the chance to grow up healthy and safe. Recently, we invited a group of our partners and supporters from diverse business sectors to a field visit to rural Siem Reap in Cambodia. There, they saw firsthand the impact of our joint efforts in healthcare, education, social and child protection sectors. Through moments like these, our partnerships grow stronger—and so does our shared mission to create lasting change for every child. A safe space for children to be children. This is how UNICEF and partners are reaching children with psychosocial support in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in Vanuatu.

Every sunrise marks a new journey for Aca, an Immunization Coordinator in Indonesia. From muddy roads on Jampea Island to unpredictable seas in the Selayar Islands, he ensures children in remote areas receive life-saving vaccines. Behind every successful vaccine delivery is collaboration. Together with South Sulawesi’s Health Service, ferry operators, and the Navy, UNICEF supports cold chain infrastructure and equips health workers with the skills they need to protect thousands of children. Every child deserves a healthy start. Together, we’re building stronger immunization systems to protect children in the most remote communities. A record number of children impacted by conflict are having their rights brutally violated. Being killed, injured, missing life-saving vaccines, out of school, malnutrition - this must not be the new normal for children. UNICEF is calling for all parties to conflict, and for those with influence over them, to take decisive action to end the suffering of children.

Congratulations to Fiji on a new framework for child protection and justice 34% of girls experience sexual violence before they turn 18 years in Fiji. The adoption of two new laws this month, pending since 2012, provides a critical framework for strengthening prevention and response to violence against children and access to child friendly justice. Congratulations to Fiji! The Child Care and Protection Act prioritises prevention, promotes family based alternative care, and creates new criminal offences in response to emerging threats children face in the digital age, including online grooming. The law also establishes a dedicated Department for Children under the Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Protection, to coordinate child protection efforts. The Child Justice Act provides for child-friendly procedures throughout the justice system, promotes diversion of children in conflict with the law, and notably raises Fiji’s minimum age of criminal responsibility to 14 years in line with international standards. Translating these frameworks into action requires resources. In addition to supporting the passage of these laws, UNICEF has worked with the Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Protection to prepare a budget and implementation plan to ensure effective execution of the legislation. Investment in prevention and response makes economic sense, as evidenced by the recently completed study on the Economic Costs of Violence Against Children in Fiji , showing violence against children costs Fiji 4.2 per cent of the Gross Domestic Product.

For young people—especially those with disabilities—mental health can feel like an uphill climb. Unicef Malaysia’s ‘Love Yourself’ campaign is a youth-led initiative that creates safe spaces for young people to share stories, support one another and discover practical ways to nurture their emotional well-being. When we prioritize their mental well-being, we are better equipped to thrive—in school, at work and in life. By talking openly and sharing our experiences, we move closer to a world where mental health is valued as an essential part of who we are. 🔗 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/ePRPsb42 #OnMyMind Ruth O'Connell Myo-Zin Nyunt Ticiana Garcia-Tapia Mirjana Unčanin
