Having grown significantly since its founding in 2009, the fund management company SUSI Partners specialising in investment opportunities related to the global energy transition decided to move to a new location: an entire floor in a building at the newly developed 'Greencity' site in Zurich. When looking for a partner to plan the new offices, they found one that shares these same values: Vitra. Vitra's Consulting and Planning Studio (CPS) team was commissioned to plan an office environment that promotes collaboration and exchange and thereby has a positive influence on the productivity of its teams. The result is an open office landscape in which room-within-a-room systems and mobile room dividers, such as Dancing Wall, ensure that layouts can be tailored to the needs of the teams, allowing employees to freely choose their preferred working environment. An innovative living concept known as The Hamlet has been developed in a historic building in the heart of Geneva's old city: eighteen apartments furnished with Vitra products can be leased for periods ranging from one night to a whole year. On the first level, 'The Square' provides a communal area in which guests and visitors can come together, enjoy a relaxing yoga or Pilates session or find a quiet spot in the library to work and read. Built in 1927, St James Power Station is a symbol of the early development and progress of Singapore as a nation. Now the listed building has been extensively refurbished and transformed into offices. The new tenant, a multinational technology company specialising in household appliances, has respectfully incorporated the building's industrial heritage into the design of the interior spaces – from their layout to the choice of materials and furniture. At the same time, the new office landscapes were designed to communicate corporate culture and create a sense of belonging so that employees and visitors feel part of a community with common goals and ambitions. To ensure future viability, great importance was attached to the flexibility of the office space and structural interventions were reduced to a minimum. Many zones are formulated as openly as possible with movable wall elements and furniture so that users can quickly and easily adapt them to their immediate needs. The mobile Dancing Walls and other agile products from Vitra not only fulfil these purposes, but also meet the client's exacting demands in terms of sustainability. A colourful new look for a mid-century classic. 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of Vitra’s re-edition of the Wall Clocks by George Nelson and the 75th anniversary of their original market launch. ViCOLLECTIVE is a young company that unites the two brands ViCAFE and Vivi Kola, taking a hands-on approach to coffee in every step of the value chain. This guarantees quality and transparency for an ecologically sustainable coffee experience. The ViCAFE Roastery & Espresso Bar is located in a listed building, which was once a Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) workshop, and offers an authentic brand experience with a coffee bar, its own line of soft drinks, a roastery, cupping lab, bakery, event room and office workstations. The company's decision to collaborate with Vitra is an illustration of its values: second-hand products, in particular used Eames Fiberglass Chairs, were selected to furnish the ViCAFE Roastery & Espresso Bar, giving these items a new lease of life. The newly designed and furnished Veranda Brasserie & Bar at the Hotel Sans Souci Wien in the heart of Vienna's museum district operates under the motto 'Modern Art for All Senses'. In celebration of casual contemporary dining, the high-quality interior was to create a sense of well-being, which would also carry over to the restaurant's culinary offerings. To evoke this atmosphere within the space and incorporate it in the furnishings, the decision was made to go with Mikado chairs from Vitra – providing guests with superb, long-lasting comfort. The founders of Impact Acoustic wanted the office to be a dynamic home base for young talent in order to foster collaboration and a spirit of innovation. As the company grows from year to year, the office needs to be flexible enough to accommodate the increasing number of employees. It also functions as a showroom to present the company's full range of acoustic solutions. With this in mind, every square meter of the limited space had to be used intelligently.
