Cervical cancer affects over 660,000 women every year, despite being one of the most preventable and treatable cancers. Early detection is essential, but traditional screening and treatment methods often remain out of reach for women in low-resource settings due to high costs and limited availability. Unitaid is working to change this. By reducing the price of HPV tests by 40% and introducing portable thermal ablation devices that cut treatment costs by 45%, we are making care more affordable and accessible. Through our initiatives, nearly 1.5 million women across 14 countries have already accessed cervical cancer screening services—a critical step toward early detection and treatment. This progress brings us closer to making cervical cancer elimination a reality for all women, everywhere. Find out more about our work: https://lnkd.in/eQ7Qzies
