Info

Our vision is to leave a better world by supporting underserved communities and individuals, and by protecting the environment for future generations. At The Rocket Foundation, we identify, engage, and support change makers who are creating and promoting a better world. We firmly believe in progress and provide a launch base for visionaries who want to have a positive impact on our planet and society. We fuel the most promising ideas and initiatives to boost their impact on society through providing fundraising and coaching. Where others see problems, we see solutions. Guided by the United Nations’ Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, we are active in five main areas of interest: Nutrition, Education, the Economic Model, equality and the Environment. In order to maximise impact, we support pioneers – true change makers with disruptive ideas – in pushing the limits of the final frontier.

  • Saving big this Black Friday? Why not use those savings to make an even bigger impact? 🎉 A 30% discount on a $100 purchase saves you $30. On $1,000? That’s $300 in your pocket. Amazing! But what to do with all these savings? At The Rocket Foundation, we support a portfolio of amazing projects, the Reforesting Baran Project is one of them. This initiative is about more than restoring the natural environment—it’s about improving lives and building a sustainable future. Instead of spending all your savings, consider putting a portion toward making a real difference. 💚 https://lnkd.in/eyfUdYXM #GetOnBoard #MakeaDifference #SustainableConsumption #EcosystemRestoration #SustainableDevelopment

  • This spring, we constructed the Purana Faredua pond, and following the summer monsoon, it held a remarkable 32,000 m³ of water—equivalent to 13 Olympic-sized swimming pools! 💧   With this water, the villagers have been able to double their agricultural land, as well as greatly boosting productivity. The fields in dark red are newly cultivated and planted for a second harvest! 🌱👩🌾   For these villages, this agriculture isn’t just about income—it’s about survival. Without this water, villagers are forced to leave in search of work, struggling to put food on the table. Now, with careful water management, the community decides which crops to grow where and when, making the most of every precious drop.   💦 The water is allocated for essential needs, from irrigating crops to supporting the community’s day-to-day life. Over time, as this project scales, the ponds will help restore the local water table, enabling forests to return and strengthening the entire ecosystem.   Want to Help?   We’re raising funds to expand this initiative across the region! Your support in the next stage will help us:   🌳 Establish nurseries, providing local jobs for women and paving the way to reforestation 💧 Build additional ponds in the Purana Faredua catchment 🌱 Revive the Talipashi River, an important step towards restoring the local ecosystem Get in touch to find out more: partnership@therocketffoundation.org Or visit our website: https://lnkd.in/eyfUdYXM With thanks to our Partners Dulsco and Earth Flag One #EcosystemRestoration #SustainableDevelopment #GetonBoard

  • Last night, The Rocket team attended the Water Is Love premiere in Zurich, a powerful and inspiring film that highlights the critical role of water in ecosystem restoration and combating climate change. The film emphasises the importance of retaining water in landscapes to restore the water cycle and showcases simple yet transformational solutions that address water scarcity.   The film shows the incredible transformation of the Sarsa catchment in Rajasthan, through the construction of traditional structures designed to retain water. These efforts have not only brought water back to the surface but have also replenished the water table, creating a sustainable ripple effect across the ecosystem - Ripples of Regeneration.   The film spotlights projects in Portugal, Kenya, and India, demonstrating that these techniques ensure water availability not just when it rains, but importantly also through periods of prolonged droughts. The simplicity of these solutions, combined with their profound impact, is truly inspiring.   In Baran, we’ve already collected 150,000 m³ of water in just a few months by building four ponds. Imagine the potential if we scale this across the entire catchment area. This work is not just about water—it’s about fostering long-lasting, sustainable change for communities and ecosystems.   Looking to support a meaningful project before the year ends? Join us in making a real impact. 🌍💧   #SlowWater #NatureNow #EcosystemRestoration #MakeaDifference Thank you GreenBuzz and films for future

📣 Panel Announcement: films for future (Water is Love premiere) GreenBuzz is a presenting partner for the Swiss premiere of "Water is Love - Ripples of Regeneration" on 20 November at Rote Fabrik.
