E-bike use has proliferated worldwide, whether it’s commuters heading to work, students heading to class, or delivery drivers going about their duties. But are all these e-bikes out there properly tested and certified? And what can the consequences be for those that aren’t? For our next SGS Live, viewers can learn about the e-bike market, some of the safety concerns that have come about in recent years about them and how SGS test and certifies these products so they’re safe to use and store. Speakers: John Ciliege is Vice-President of Connectivity for SGS North America. He has over 25 years TIC industry experience covering various fields. His current responsibilities include oversight of SGS NRTL program globally and direct management responsibility for US operations under Electrical and Electronics. Mike Fritz is Chief Technology Officer for Human Powered Solutions, LLC. He has spent his entire professional career as an engineer and engineering manager in the bicycle industry. He started his career at Schwinn in 1973 and has since held engineering and senior management positions at several major bike and eBike brands.
