I would like to share a frustrating experience with FedEx and to seek your suggestions. My company recently shipped a lab instrument to a public institute in Spain, a process we’ve successfully completed many times in other countries via my company's business agreement with FedEx-Swiss Post. However, this shipment took an unexpected turn. FedEx Spain requested that the institute pay the customs fees via their online platform within one week by credit card. The institute, as a public entity, explained that they required an invoice to process the payment and could not pay directly using the online platform. At the same time, I received an email from FedEx Switzerland warning that if the payment wasn’t completed by December 16, the package would be returned, and my company would be charged for the return costs. The tone of the message felt almost threatening. Both the institute and I engaged in daily communication with FedEx Spain and Switzerland, respectively, and they assured us the invoice would be issued. However, the invoice wasn’t sent until December 17, and the package was shipped back the same day, leaving no time for the institute to process the payment. Even more frustrating, the invoice listed the wrong institute name. This mishandling has placed both my company and the institute in a difficult position. There was a project deadline, and timely delivery was critical. Now, my company is also bearing additional costs for the return shipment, and shipping it back. In their last response, FedEx stated there was nothing they could do and suggested, "We recommend that the recipient in Spain create a FedEx account. This will make the process much easier." No responsibility was taken, and no apology was offered. I’ve had problems with FedEx in other shipments, but none as critical or as poorly handled as this one. If you’ve faced a similar situation or have advice on how to navigate this, particularly on actions to take to protect consumers in Switzerland, I would greatly appreciate your support and suggestions. Thank you! #FedEx #Logistics #Shipping

It made my day to see Microqubic's 3D microscope working side by side with an Evident (Olympus) microscope at this ETH Zurich - PSI lab. While the stereomicroscope captures top-down imaging, our system enables tilted imaging simultaneously, unlocking new experimental possibilities. Proud to see Microqubic technology contributing to cutting-edge research! #Microscopy #Innovation #Collaboration #ETHZurich #PSI #PaulScherrerInstitute #ScienceAndTechnology

My 6-year-old and I had an incredible time preparing for his school project about hospitals. Together, we designed and fabricated dozens of "fake" diagnostic tests, turning the classroom into a mini lab 😊 The kids were fascinated as they explored the world of diagnostics and microscopy. We also checked samples like salt, sugar, and hair using Microqubic's 3D microscope 🔬. It was such a joy to blend my work with this personal project, and I hope it sparked curiosity among a few future scientists and medical professionals. This short video captures the steps we followed in our "fabrication" process. Hope you enjoy it! #STEM #Education #Innovation #Microscopy #Microqubic #Diagnostics #Lateralflowtests #3Dprinting Music: Alison by Jason Shaw (Audionautix)

Isn't this beautiful? We captured this stunning footage of Sci-Bots Inc. DropBot Glass Chip at microTAS in just five minutes! 🎥 Their team quickly prepared a digital microfluidic sample using their new coloured reagents, and we filmed it from multiple angles using Microqubic's motorized 3D microscope🔬 What made this even more special was the spontaneous collaboration - we met at Microqubic's booth, and within minutes, we were creating this video together! 🚨 RIP to our robot vacuum cleaner 🚨 I needed a motorized camera dolly to showcase the color options of Microqubic's 3D microscopes. So, I hacked the robot vacuum, added a tripod with 3D-printed adapters, and voilà. The robot doesn’t function as a vacuum cleaner anymore, but we got a nice video out of it. Would I recommend it? No, it was a terrible idea 😅 #marketing #videoediting #filming #microscopy #photography #robotics

I just returned from an incredible experience exhibiting at the microTAS conference in Montreal, where over 1300 attendees gathered. The interest in Microqubic's 3D microscope was truly overwhelming! 🔹It was great to reconnect with old friends - some of whom I hadn't seen in over 10 years - and meet pioneers in the field, as well as many new faces from both industry and academia. 🔹So many attendees brought samples to image them on the spot. A common response was: "Wow, I've never seen my chip from this angle before!" 😊 🔹Another highlight was seeing posters and presentations from current Microqubic users, who also stopped by to say hi and share how extensively they’ve been using the microscope. That truly made my day! 👋 A big thank you to the organizers and committee members, especially co-chairs David Juncker and Aaron Wheeler, and my local host and good friend Thomas Gervais, for putting together such an excellent event, and to everyone who stopped by the booth - it was wonderful to meet and chat with you all!
