We are proud to spotlight Fatima Ahamada, Head of the L’OCCITANE Foundation, who represented the L’OCCITANE Group at the World Forum for a Responsible Economy in Lille on 27 November 2024. Invited by ADMICAL - Entrepreneurs de mécénat, the French network of corporate philanthropy, Fatima had the privilege to speak alongside esteemed organisations such as Fondation de France, Equanity, and Wokine in a workshop titled "Philanthropy and CSR: Eliminating Grey Areas for a Winning Alignment." The workshop highlighted the synergies between philanthropy and CSR, emphasising how combining flexibility and creativity with strategic alignment can amplify both social and environmental impact. Fatima shared L’OCCITANE Group’s approach to bridging philanthropy and CSR, showcasing initiatives that engage employees, strengthen partnerships, and reflect our values. Key takeaways included the importance of maintaining clear boundaries between philanthropy and CSR while leveraging their combined strengths to maximise positive impact. In Dubai, I had the fantastic opportunity to meet Mariana Rodrigues, Marketing Director for L’OCCITANE en Provence Middle East, and Mary Selim, Creative and Communication Manager, who welcomed me warmly and introduced me to the L’OCCITANE Café at City Walk.
