We’re expanding our manufacturing capabilities in Europe with our new $35 million greenfield investment. With growing reliance on electronics and data centers, we are investing more than $35 million (£27 million), in a state of the art earthing and lightning protection factory in Nottingham, United Kingdom. This new greenfield facility, set to open in early 2025, will significantly boost production of our Furse® solutions in over 20 countries. These solutions are crucial to help protect against lightning strikes and electrical surges, which can disrupt critical operations and cause billions of dollars in damage to structures and equipment each year. This year, we agreed to acquire Canadian company Real Tech Inc., a leading supplier of innovative optical sensor technology that enables real-time water monitoring and testing. Real Tech’s portfolio includes optical sensors, controllers and a suite of optional accessories that allow each system to be configured according to customer needs. Leveraging the power of light, the sensors measure water composition. They use spectrophotometry and fluorescence measuring techniques to move testing from the lab to the process environment for real-time use. Through the acquisition, we will expand its strong presence in the water segment and complement its product portfolio with optical technology critical for smart water management. Helping Spanish islands transition to green energy! We are proud to collaborate with Red Eléctrica on a groundbreaking project to continue advancing the transition of the Canary and Balearic Islands to renewable energy. Our integrated solution includes the supply of synchronous condensers, electrical and automation equipment. This will play a vital role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and continuity of island electrical power grids as they integrate increasing levels of renewable energy to meet Spain's energy transition goals. The project is part of the Network Development Plan 2021 – 2026, the execution of which will allow the integration of 67% of renewable energy into the generation mix, advancing the objectives of Spain's 2021-2030 Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan (PNIEC).
