We are thrilled to welcome Uzo Oshogwe, our new Managing Director/CEO, to Transcorp Hotels Plc. Today marks her official Day 1 and we are excited to welcome her to the team. A few things about Uzo Oshogwe: Uzo is a distinguished leader with a successful career spanning 30 years, across companies including Ford Motors UK, J. Sainsbury Plc UK, Accenture UK, and most recently Afriland Properties Plc where she was MD/CEO. While at Afriland, Uzo's leadership was instrumental in the completion of the iconic Afriland Towers in Marina, Heirs Towers building in Victoria Island, and luxury residential projects including "The Residences". She is an accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator, a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants, and a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administrators. Uzo is also a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD). Uzo holds a B.Sc in Chemistry, an M.Sc in Information Systems Design, and a Real Estate Management certificate from Harvard Business School. She is an AMP-certified executive from Lagos Business School and IESE Barcelona. Uzo joins us at an exciting time in our growth and expansion, as we continue to redefine hospitality across Nigeria and beyond. With her experience developing large-scale luxury projects, we are confident that her leadership will propel us to greater heights as we expand our Transcorp Hotels assets, including the 315-room Transcorp Hilton Lagos project in development and our soon-to-be-launched 5000 capacity Event Centre in Abuja.
