2024 has been a year of remarkable achievements for Impact Leaders Connect (ILC). We began the year by defining our leadership word for the year: SHIFT. Indeed, it has been a year of breaking new ground and embracing transformative growth. Here are the key highlights from 2024 1. We launched the ILC Shift Series, inviting visionary leaders such as Ritika Saraswat, founder of Re-Defined, Simone Sharma, founder of Youth Grow Youth; and Adetola Obioma LLB,BL,CPM,ACHIRM to inspire and empower our community with invaluable leadership insights. 2. In collaboration with Cheta D. Akaluka and Sustainability For ME, we secured the Black Flourishing Fund from the University of Manitoba to host the EcoEmpower Symposium. This one-day event featured engaging discussions on sustainability and leadership, along with a hands-on design thinking workshop. 3. We concluded the year with the impactful ILC 5.0 event, Leadershift: Gaining Momentum for the Next Level. Founders, CEOs, and Executive Directors including Olumuyiwa Igbalajobi (Ph.D), Linta Mustafa , Cassandra Akinde MBBS, MSc and Matt DeHart shared their experiences, while Chineyenwa Okoro Onu Wyetey from the Youth Friendly Standards delivered an insightful presentation that resonated deeply with our audience. We are immensely grateful for the support of our speakers, collaborators, and community members who made this year a success. Special appreciation goes to the incredible ILC Team—Olajumoke Olalere, Adams Familusi, Israel Alagbe, and Moses Ogunsola—whose dedication drives our mission forward.
