It was a pleasure to meet the UK Foreign Secretary, Rt Hon David Lammy MP and High Commissioner Dr. Richard Montgomery during their visit to Lagos this week as part of the UK’s focus on renewables and clean energy in Africa. Hinckley Associates Nigeria showcased our battery testing and second life battery technology supported by funding from Innovate UK, Powering Renewable Energy Opportunities The Carbon Trust, IKEA Foundation, Zero Emission Generators. We also discussed Hinckley Ewaste Recycling's battery recycling plant coming online in 2025 supported by Manufacturing Africa led by Beth Davies-Kumadiro to solve the growing problem of battery waste in Nigeria. Collaborations between #British and #Nigerian businesses will creates jobs and unlocks exciting opportunities in the #renewables sector for both countries. Hinckley is a great example of this anglo-african partnership working towards providing cleaner and cheaper #energy on the continent.
