  • We are honoured to announce His Excellency Wamkele Mene, Secretary General at the AfCFTA Secretariat, as a Speaker at 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱! The first incumbent in this role at the AfCFTA Secretariat, Secretary General Mene, has been at the helm since 2020, steering Africa’s most ambitious trade initiative, the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA). The AfCFTA, a cornerstone of the 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟲𝟯 is projected to increase intra-African trade by up to 25% by 2040, lifting millions out of poverty. 🙌 Secretary General Mene’s leadership has advanced initiatives like the Guided Trade Initiative (GTI), positioning the continent for increased intra-African trade and economic growth.🚀🌍 We are looking forward to his insights!
