SMBC is honored to be named Global Bank of the Year by Project Finance International (PFI). This recognition reflects a year of significant achievements across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific regions. Our leadership in the data center sector was demonstrated through landmark transactions, including left lead and sole structuring bank for the US$2.9 billion financing for IPI Partners backing four linked data center campuses in the U.S. – and leading the first European data center ABS deal, a £600 million financing for Vantage Data Centers UK. We also served as financial advisor on the Brightline West rail project. SMBC also contributed to transformative infrastructure developments, including as financial advisor on the US$12.3 billion Amiral petrochemical project expansion for Aramco and TotalEnergies. These projects underscore our focus on evolving our platform to meet the demands of emerging infrastructure developments.
