This year's Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon was an incredible journey of resilience, community, and achievement. Tata Consultancy Services Malaysia was recently honored with the *CEO Champion Award* by the Malaysia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Talent Corp. The prestigious award acknowledges the foremost leader within the organization who exemplifies an unwavering commitment to advancing the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) agenda. The award was received by Jeevan Rajoo, Country Head, TCS Malaysia at the event graced by Steven Sim Chee Keong, the Minister of Human Resources of Malaysia, at the Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. TCS Malaysia has achieved significant progress in fostering diversity, enhanced employee morale and retention and a strong commitment to embedding DEI and sustainability into its culture and operations. Many of these initiatives driven by TCS Malaysia are anchored around empowering the next generation youths in Malaysia, from capacity building to digital literacy for youths (through SDG hackathons), building innovative partnerships with clients in the aviation industry and NGOs i.e. National Cancer Society Malaysia and joint initiatives including BeDigital Bootcamp and SEEdLab MY - powered by PETRONAS and TCS. The startups incubated by SEEd.Lab also addressed various pressing SDG issues such as mental health education/intervention and job creation for persons with disabilities. Another unique program - CANSupport in TCS Malaysia also addresses issues on kids suffering from cancer as TCS works closely with hospitals and National Cancer Society Malaysia to launch a mobile app endorsed by the Malaysia’s Health Ministry, to bridge mobility gaps and offer symptomatic insights for a better treatment journey. The Boao Forum for Asia Youth Summit (Hong Kong) 2024 was successfully held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre recently. With the theme “Pioneering Tomorrow: Roles and Contributions of Youth,” the event aimed to encourage young people worldwide to leverage their unique strengths and make positive contributions to society. Over 2,500 young talents from around the globe attended the event. Samir Jambawalikar, Solution Architect at TCS China, was invited to join the International Youth Dialogue session, moderated by Mr. Kenneth Fok Kai-kong. Alongside Mr. Zhang Jun, Secretary-General of the Boao Forum for Asia, Dame Jenny Shipley, former Prime Minister of New Zealand, Ms. Emmanuelle Peres, former Vice Minister of France, Prof. Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Olympic fencing champion Ms. Vivian Kong, and other esteemed panelists, Samir elaborated on the pivotal role of youth in shaping the future of the world. The panel of speakers discussed global shifts and rapid technological advancements which presented unprecedented challenges and opportunities to young people.
