We're pleased to announce that Michael Rousseau, President and CEO of Air Canada, has been elected as the new Chairperson of the Star Alliance Chief Executive Board.   In this role, Michael will guide the strategic direction of the Alliance and serve as the spokesperson for the Chief Executive Board, where each of the 25 member airlines is represented by its CEO.   We look forward to his guidance as we work toward our vision of a world effortlessly connected.

The Star Alliance lounge at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, China is now open.   In a ceremony with member airlines, media and guests, we inaugurated our sixth operational Star Alliance branded airport lounge worldwide, and our first in Asia. The 750 square meter space at Terminal 1, abundant with natural light and with great airside views, offers a perfect spot to work or relax before your flight.   We welcome all First and Business class passengers and Star Alliance Gold status customers on member airline flights departing from Terminal 1 to our newest haven.
