  • “Getting certified in Mental Health First Aid™ isn’t the end, it’s the start.” ⭐ That’s what one of our attendees shared at our exclusive event for certified Mental Health First Aiders™ (MHFAiders™). She captured the essence of what it’s like to be certified in MHFA™ - the start of being able to better support your community in times when they need it most 🤝 We were so heartened as MHFAiders™ reflected on their journey and shared vulnerably about how they can continue advocating for mental health in their workplace 🪴 For every MHFAider™ trained, every organisation supported, and every conversation started, we’re creating a movement of prioritising mental health 👏 Find out more about Mental Health First Aid™ here: https://lnkd.in/giba7vPZ

  • 🤔 Are we talking about the realities of parenthood enough? As heartwarming and amazing this experience is, it can also be exhausting and mentally draining 😵💫 That’s why when Cassandra Loh, our VP, Partnerships and Solutions, was pursing her post-graduate diploma in counselling psychology, she provided pro-bono counselling to mothers because she thought they were very underserved in this aspect. “Sometimes, what they need is for someone to hear them out or to provide perspectives to help them move along from where they are stuck,” Cassandra shared in an article with The Singapore Women's Weekly. But the work doesn’t just stop there. Intellect has partnered with the largest private hospital group, IHH HEALTHCARE SINGAPORE, to provide one year of Intellect access to all mothers who are discharged from any of the four hospitals in the group. We have content curated for mothers and trained professionals who can provide support for mums. Find out more about the work Cassandra is doing to push for better mental health support for mothers here: https://lnkd.in/gCPcETDX

  • How can we better support men’s mental health in the workplace? That’s what Theodoric Chew, our CEO, alongside Visa leaders Chris Skok (Head of AP Client Services) and Aakash Degwekar (Head of AP Business Planning and Operations) discussed in a fireside chat that was organised by ourselves and Visa Young Professionals APAC. Together, they unpacked: 💡 The mental health challenges men face today 💡 The pressure of hustle culture on younger generations 💡 Practical strategies for prioritising wellbeing Societal expectations and workplace demands can amplify mental health struggles among men. But this session was a reminder that with open conversations and intentional support, we can drive meaningful change 🔥 Thank you to everyone who joined this conversation! The energy was so powerful and we’re grateful for this opportunity to speak about topics that matter ⭐

  • When we paired our users with coaches who spoke their first language, something incredible happened: their sessions were nearly twice as effective. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gbnWWkZb Imagine having a heartfelt conversation in your second language—Mandarin, Spanish, Tamil, or another. Most of us probably can’t. Yet, this is the reality our coworkers face when seeing a mental health professional who doesn’t speak their first language. The lack of localisation could explain why traditional Employee Assistance Programmes have utilisation rates as low as 3-5%. In contrast, Intellect’s services—ranging from coaching to a 24/7 crisis helpline—are available in 100 languages across 100 countries. Who benefited the most from our approach? • We get this question a lot 👇 💬 Mental health is such a personal topic. How does Intellect ensure that users’ data stays protected and confidential? At PMAT Thailand HR Day, Oliver S., our VP, Clinical, addressed this critical question head-on. The short answer: If you use our services, your name will never be shared with your organisation or employer. We know that trust is the foundation of effective mental health support. That’s why data confidentiality isn’t just a priority—it’s non-negotiable. 📽️ Watch the full video to hear Dr. Oliver dive deeper into how we safeguard user privacy.

  • Going in with a growth mindset — that’s one way to reduce our anxiety about performance reviews. Here are four others: https://lnkd.in/gSpKgK-w Appraisals are full of uncertainty and feedback—even constructive criticism—can trigger self-doubt. But what we could change our inner dialogue? Kai, Intellect’s Client Solutions & Consulting Specialist, shares a tip: add “yet” to your limiting beliefs. 💬 “I’m not present confidently in meetings—yet.” 💬 “I don’t know how to lead a team—yet.” 💬 “I don’t have the skills to lead this project—yet.” It’s a simple shift, but it opens the door to possibilities. Want to feel differently about appraisals this time? Find our tips in the article.

  • 0.01% is better than 0%. That’s what Julia Khaw, our in-house clinical psychologist had to say about recovering from mental health conditions at Mental Health Film Festival (Singapore) Ltd. If you can relate to what she said, here are more tips 👇 🎯 Set goals, but start small and realistic A little goes a long way, and can be encouraging for us when we hit these small milestones when we’re on our healing journey. 🤝 Support system matters Love, support, and care from people who understand us can be our safety nets, especially on difficult days.
